Don't be put off by reviews saying that this equipment is not safe to use. It meets the required European standard. Clearly states the relevant information on the box and website. All downloadable.I was looking for something on the market that would give my 2 year old a little more comfort while sleeping, as I noticed his head keeps flopping around when he's tired. Not very comfortable and I'm pretty sure not very good for his spine.I did a hell of a lot of research before opting for this particular product.My background is fire and rescue service, I have attended just a few traffic collisions over the years. So I was aware that I did not want this product to compromise my little boys safety. Hence I did the research on conformity.First impressions when I opened the box; very impressed with the quality, both build and material used. I was a little apprehensive to whether this would fit on to my child seat.There is plenty of length on the straps so I imagine it would fit to most.As you can tell from the pics, my boys seat already has very good lateral protection. However this product adds to this. After sitting my boy in his seat it reminded me of the lateral formula 1 protection inside the cockpits for the drivers. Protecting them from spinal/neck damage. So that was the first big tick.My little boy fits nice and snug inside (snug enough to be secure and safe but not uncomfortable) I guess this depends on your child's head size and type of seat. But it works for us.The head strap attaches with velcro. Now this was something I was concerned about other products. How would the kinetic energy in a collision, effect my boys spine/neck? In layman terms; when object hits car, body will move. And I didn't want restriction which could compromise his neck.Some other products are fully incorperated into one strap attached via a male female clip. That gave me cause for concern, so when I noticed that the head strap on this product is attached via velcro, it got a big thumbs up from me. Effectively if there is a front to back impact the head support will absorb some of the impact before releasing under its own force. Also if there was to be a side impact, the added lateral protection is going to protect your child's neck from the unatural side to side movement which causes so many fatalities in an RTC.The head strap also has a limit on how far it can be lowered, which controls the risk of choking/throat/neck damage in a collision. The other products I found did not offer this.Also the head strap is not in contact with the forehead which stops overheating and helps with general comfort.So I'm very happy with the product. I originally just wanted to find a product that would keep my boy comfortable while sleeping. I did just that. But also I found a product that adds extra safety to my boy in the unfortunate event of a collision.My boy seems to like it. He didn't want to get out of the seat after we had done the fitting for him. Although I haven't used this in anger. I can see after fitting that it does what it's meant to do and more importantly it didn't seem to irritate my 2-year-old. Quite the contrary.The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because I had hoped there would have been some more adjustment to the lateral protection. The product can restrict your child's lateral view. But the benefits definitely outweigh what my boy can or cannot see out the window.If you got this far down. Well done!Hope it helps.

Really impressed with this, we wanted to get something to stop our sons head jerking forward when he napped in the car as it kept waking him up.We also didn’t want anything that was always in front of him as he’s 19 months and would just get annoyed.This was ideal, it’s easy enough to pull the Head band down once he’s fallen asleep and it lets his head dip slightly forward so it’s comfortable for him but he’s not restricted. After a couple times of using, it clearly has helped as he now sleeps much deeper on his naps and doesn’t wake when we stop.Wasn’t sure if it would work but I’m pleased we bought it, it’s been a game changer.Would recommend.

Great quality. My son is way more comfortable in his car set now and I don't have to worry about his head jerking when he falls sleep.

It does what is says. Comfortable and always with us on a long journey. When not needed, the strap can be removed.

Seemed a good idea in theory, my boys head is either too small or too heavy because minutes after it’s on his head falls through 🙁
