Great Idea but Needs Tweaking
I was looking for a webcam cover for my Dell XPS 15z laptop when I found this one on Amazon. I don't know what ingredients its made of, but it looks like a black plastic rectangle with adhesive on 2/3 of the back. This is a really great idea. It's removable and supposedly is good for many, many uses of taking it off and putting it back on. But this is my complaint with it: The length of the rectangle is 1 1/8", and the adhesive on the back is 3/4", so you end up with 3/8" that can cover the webcam because the adhesive is not supposed to be over the lense area. Does it fit? Barely. I ended up taking the peel off backing that was over the adhesive and cutting a sliver and reapplying it to the adhesive to give the webcam lense more room (and so that I didn't have to be so careful with it's placement). This problem could be solved by making the webcam cover 1/2" inch longer and leaving the adhesive at 3/4". The other problem is my laptop is one of the thin laptops, and now that the webcam cover is in place, the laptop lid no longer sits flat (I can wobble it side to side--not a lot, but there is movement). Would I buy this again? Yes, as I've not found anything to replace it yet. But I will keep looking. If the designers could make it longer and a little thinner, this would pretty much be a perfect product. One final thought: Kudos to the company...they were two days late on delivery, but they sent me an email on the date it should have arrived and offered an explanation of the delay and an apology. Gotta love that kind of customer service.

Best on the market, but the logo is annoying
I have tried three different products from Amazon to hide the cameras on my computers. There is the i-stop with a snap open case that is just a poor design. I did not even bother gluing it to my computer. The snap was too hard to open. There is another called the SolPal WebCam covers. I ordered two versions of this product and both showed up with even more annoying branding than the CamPatch. After a back and forth with the owner, where I explained with screenshots that the product I received has logo branding, but his product pictures do not, he sent me new product with no branding. These were OK except that the iMac gets really hot, and the glue was melty which resulted in the SolPal WebCam covers tilting a little, and since the glue is not restickable like the CamPatch, you end up trying to adjust it a lot. I was concerned that I would scratch my computer when I tried to remove the glue. In addition, the slide of the SolPal is a bit too long, and also tilts. If the SolPal guy could shorten the slide and upgrade the glue, he would be a winner. In the end, I chose the CamPatch, despite the annoying logo on the front. (Why can't it just be a subtle picture of a camera, instead of a logo?) I always know that the camera is covered. I don't have to worry about trying to remove sticky glue and scratching my screen. I can move it around all I like and re-stick it with out a problem.I also wanted to add in that the customer service with this company is excellent. Polite, friendly and followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

Great Item!
Simple to put on and take off when you want to. If you want to skype with someone just take it off. When you are done just replace it on your device-easy. Protects your privacy by blocking the front camera lens. I read a lot of people don't even know about this at all. When I am doing work or reading, playing games, or just checking the web I don't want anyone looking at what I am doing. In the times we now live in with everything posted and viewed on all of the social media sites, the last thing you want is some nut case to spy on what you are doing and taking advantage of you. There are enough cameras on the outside world for various reasons and I don't need someone looking at mine on my computer and tablet. I read some people hack into the camera on your computer or tablet to see if they can read when you enter a password to your different e-mail accounts. No thanks. One of the country's top 10 security specialists say this is very true and should be addressed by each concerned person.Get it and stay safe.

Works fine - make your own with electrical tape
The product works fine. Just keep in mind - DO NOT TOUCH THE ADHESIVE ON THE BACK LEFT HALF. The adhesive is on the left back side of the rectangle. Always peel off the CamPatch with your RIGHT HAND from right to left. I wish CamPatch made this more clear. In the instructions it says not to touch the adhesive, but it doesn't say where the adhesive is - how am I supposed to know where to peel up the sticker? That said, the adhesive has held up very well (I've had it a little more than a month). If you want a DIY, free solution, just make your own by cutting electrical tape into the desired shape and covering half the adhesive rectangle with paper or tape so that no adhesive touches the camera.

Wounded Warrior Project
I think this is a great webcam cover and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've read a lot of the reviews here that complain about the "CamPatch" logo on the product but it doesn't distract me at all as it's small and subtle. Otherwise, this works just as described. I'm not taking mine on and off often and haven't encountered any problems with loss of adhesion. I've had these in use since purchase in September of 2014 and at the time paid $6.99 here on Amazon for the pair. Shipping was an additional $2.00.Although it says this in the listing details, I didn't realize at the time of purchase that $1.00 from every sale goes to one of my favorite causes; the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit that helps wounded U.S. war veterans. This makes me feel even better about my purchase and I applaud CamPatch for their efforts on behalf of veterans. Thank you CamPatch!

Great packaging, clean design
Great packaging, clean design. However...its a patch to cover up the camera, made in black so that in blends in with the bezel...simple idea but isn't cut exactly to the height of the bezel! This drives me nuts, and I can admit it is the smallest problem but something like this should be perfect. I feel like the adhesive is a bit too "gooey" if you will, but there isn't anything else that is less annoying that does the job. This patch is also nice and soft which allows for you to close the lid like a normal person.
