Threads are a little loose but overall I made it work. I used loctite to ensure they would stay in place.

First forged knife. They worked well and true to fit correct drill bits. Like I said the slots are not deep. So make sure you have the correct screwdriver to tighten before you glue

Brass ones have low quality threads. Stainless ones threaded nicely.You will need metric drills to use these. I use Festool 492515 Centrotec HSS Brad-Point Drill Bit, 6mm with Amana Tool - 20210 Adjustable 3mm to 7mm (1/8 To 1/4) Universal Drill Depth-Stopand a 4 mm drill.The depth stop will keep you from drilling too deep.

These worked great first time ever using corby's ,not as hard as people make them out to be . I just used two different size drill bits and everything came out great .

the two ends were slightly different in size leaving a small gap around the bolt otherwise worked fine.

Used these to complete a knife handle project... came out fine, looks great... got the brass version ..

They work, better than pins. Be aware that you need to drill two holes centered, or buy a step drill witch I haven't found. One problem I have is that the two ends are slightly different. One side is 5.98mm the other is 5.83mm (see pic) just enough difference that a 15/64" drill bit fits the screw side but the thred side doesn't fit without hammering it in. A 1/4" bit is too big and leaves a gap around the screw.

Great little fasteners. Just get your holes lined up.
