Axxera AXM654DVC 6-1/2" Dual Voice Coil Midrange

Could be my amp or inexperience, but my amp was clipping trying to drive this bridged to 2 ohms which is what my original speakers were rated.At 4 ohms they didn't stack up to A/B with another brand 4 ohm speaker. They were quieter overall and the bass extension wasn't great in free air, made worse with the installation compromises I had to make for the install.The spider is nice and heavy and it's a fine speaker in terms of sound and build quality, but that heavy spider kept me from being able to fit it very firmly in place, even when trying to seal up the gaps, so bass response was further handicapped.I also tried at 8 ohms, buy that was just too quiet for the position they needed to fill at the midbass door kicker.I really want to like it but it just didn't work for my uses.

I put one of these in each door of my 1998 chevy s10 blazer. Will require special mounting adapter. Sounds amazing for the price!
