But the dice are so cool and enable so much mental math practice that you could choose to play this instead of a math lesson. The game makes students learn about geography, math, and strategies to win the White House. Now, I give a lecture on the electoral college and then have them play the game. Days later, they still call their classmates Mrs. and Mr. President. This was the first time I had to kick students out of the classroom because a new class was coming in AND they requested I bring the games back another week! I can’t stress enough how that never happens! If you teach PoliSci at any grade level and want to incorporate an engaging lesson plan, THIS is it! For reference, I used 7 games for a class of 26.
