This gas cap fit awesome.I had ordered one without the key from Amazon and it was loose, but something told me to take the chance on this AC.Delco one and even the gasket was the orange that is the one i need for the flex Fule it fit real snug on my chevy tahoe and took away the gas cap check engine line thanks

After about 2 months of my "check engine" coming on for the gas cap trouble code after a fill up ...... I FINALLY figured it out yesterday.PUSH the gas cap in and then turn it....you will feel the gas cap rubber gasket make a SUPER tight seal on the fuel filler neck and become vapor tight, then it will click. No more check engine gas cap error code and now I can say I actually like this gas cap and it has no problems when done correctly.I was hesitant to purchase this replacement locking gas cap after reading reviews that said this gas cap didn't work properly. Just user error, that's all.

Good cap, bought this one because someone answered a question saying the lanyard could be swapped but the ring on this cap is too narrow which is disappointing.

Well, people are siphoning gas again because of soaring gas prices at the pump. It's like the '80's all over again. While these caps are plastic and could be easily compromised with a pipe wrench or channel locks or some such impliment of destruction, they do as they say, "keep the honest people honest". Metal would be better but if quality made like these, would also be much more money to buy. Also there seem to be more size and style choices in plastic. My thinking too was if someone is so desparate they are willing to destroy my gas cap, a metal one being forced off could also cause damage to the vehicle. So, let them have the gas and I just buy another plastic one. BTW, you don't have to keep honest people honest IMHO. Honest people like being that way and find their own incentive to do so somewhere inside themselves. Just an opinion.Be well and happy.

I was pretty excited to get this lock for my gas tank but found out that it would not easily unlock consistently using the key I thought it was just me doing something wrong but was at the gas station the last time I used it and had to use a screwdriver to get it off pretty bummed out

I only gave this three stars as it does sort of work on a 2004 Suburban, and seems to seal very well, so far. After locking it takes a lot of turns and pulling up on it, but after about five full revolutions it did come off. I say this as my other "locking" gas caps have all come off after locking by just turning it counter clockwise and lifting slightly, pops off quickly in about one-half to one revolution or less. This at least stays on much longer and I doubt a thief would sit there twirling this for a while. One or two spins and I would think they would walk away, but I'm no thief so...

Was concerned fuel door wouldn’t close all the way with cap on like I read in some reviews. Not the case with this AC Delco locking gas cap. More expensive than other brands but fitment is good so worth higher price.

Fits perfectly for the Hummer H2. It is also low-profile so should work under most external gas-filler covers if you happen to have one. It feels a bit funny to tighten and open compared to the regular cap, because of the way the locking mechanism works, but you quickly get used to it, and it does seem to lock securely. They lock could use a drop of oil, and works well with that. Also, you can remove the key after opening the cap, then when you put the cap back on it will always lock ( in other words, they key can't be removed in a way that will leave the cap unlocked).

It works with my 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 WT. It made the warning light go out. I stretched the loop on the old cap with a screw driver, then fitted it on the new cap, works perfect, preserving the cap tether. :)

It didn't stop my emission code check engine light on my Escalade.
