The comfort springs are made with a high-strength chrome steel, which is zinc-plated and clear-coated to provide protection against the elements. The springs are tightly coiled together for effective shock absorption, enhancing the comfort of your porch swing with every movement. Smoothing out the swinging motion and allowing a wide range of suspension are the main functions of these springs. Crafted from durable metal, the two swing hanging hooks are meant to withstand the wear and tear of indoor or outdoor use. The hangers are made with glass and reinforced nylon plastic around the metal. They are covered in ABS plastic, a high-impact, rust-resistant plastic that ensures the longevity of the piece. And, they're extra versatile, because they function as accessories to all the porch swings sold on this site. Customer-favorite comfort springs and 2 hanging hooks. Springs offer even suspension for smooth motion. Each spring has a 600 lb. weight capacity. Springs are tightly coiled for shock absorption. Chrome springs are zinc-plated and clear-coated. Please note that you will need two 2.5-inch wood screws or lag screws/bolts (available at your local hardware store) to mount the hangers to your porch. INSTALLATION: This comes with two 1/2" pre-drilled holes for bolting installation to wooden beams, cedar wood, rafters and/or concrete. Screws/bolts are not included, but you may use 3" lag bolts, Hex bolts, Carriage bolts as best fits the condition for installation.

Very strong, fluid swing motion
This is incredibly strong. Like someone else mentioned it did not come with the plastic washers. At a very slow speed it does run. It once I got used to that it’s fine. Mine isn’t a loud or obnoxious sound so I’m fine with it as is. It also does not come with bolts. I was able to find some at the hardware store easy enough for our purposes. I didn’t end up using their spring. The swing we purchased came with springs that attach via carabeaner which made me feel more secure. We did put these springs on and hang from them to test them. They felt super strong so I’m sure they would have been fine. Also the swinging motion with these is fluid and not herkey jerky. I am pleased.

Jerky
Installed in oak tree, sturdy, but jerky. The first day was smooth swinging, but the second day was not. I loosened the bolt to the hinge portion, swining was still jerky. I tightened them. Still jerky. I tightened them so the hinge could not move. Swinging was smooth again as long as the hinge doesn't move.

Exactly as described almost.
Look to be really strong but the ones I received did not have the "Industrial plastic washers" as described and shown in the pictures.Not sure if that will make a difference in possible squeaks or noise from the hangers but time will tell.

Heavy duty hardware
Installed on the garden swing a month ago. The springs have just the right "give" and make sitting and swinging much smoother.

Very Robust - The house will come down before these fail...
Excellent hardware for a porch swing. Very strong. You will not need to worry about these failing. I used two 1/2 inch 8 inch long galvanized lags on each.

As advertised ...
Excellent product. Exactly as advertised.I initially purchased another brand but returned the same day received. The hangers were plastic, and over time, the plastic will give out (and they were more expensive).This product is all metal and makes the porch swing very comfortable with little noise.
