This is a good buy but the scent is faint yet pleasant, I love keeping one next to the kitchen sink with my large nail brush on top where it gets used frequently and lasts a long long time. The lather is luxurious and the soap itself is excellent. It is hard to find a Pre de Provence soap I don't like as long as it doesn't have plant matter inside which I find a bit rough for daily use. These types are better suited to getting paint off my hands so I keep some on 'hand'. I know, bad... anyhow, this isn't a bar for the bath unless you use a brush or sponge as it's not easy to hold at this size and when new it weighs a lot. Don't blame the bar if it arrives scuffed which sometimes happens. This soap doesn't come from the company in that condition, it's bad handling causing this. I've had it arrive beat all up and also perfect and nicely wrapped in cellophane which helps keep it from massive scratches. Either way, it's a good deal but if you are gifting it, be aware of that issue. They really need to put this one in a box of some sort as it's a target for damage.

I have loved this soap and used it for years. Over the years I've found it in all kinds of places from a high end bath shop, to a specialty clothing and gift store, high end food and gift store, online specialty bath store, for a few years in Trader Joe's for a ridiculously low price, and, to my surprise, a small retail shop in Paris across from Notre Dame! The shops and availability have come and gone over time, so I was delighted to discover that I can get it now anytime from Amazon! Other scents are sold in lots of places, including Trader Joe's, but for some reason the Rose Petal scent is elusive. It has an earthier, more natural, and not sickly sweet rose scent.

* I rarely provide reviews - this was amazing! *I enjoy giving Pre de Provence soap as a gift. The items that I purchased were shipped quickly, arrived early and wrapped with great care!!!! The box was labeled "Fragile". Looked like it was used for batting practice. The contents arrived in perfect condition!! Plenty of over-wrap and lots of extra space in the box to absorb punishment. Exceedingly Happy!!! Nothing worse than dented or bruised bars of soap (you know it's true). This was factory fresh and will be an absolutely perfect gift!!! Highly recommended!!!

This soap is just as fancy as you'd think. I bought a bunch because I wanted to give them as gifts, but they don't come in individual boxes, just plastic wrap like they were taken from a bulk box. That might only be a big deal to me since my intention was to purchase as a gift, but the soap is still lovely.

We've been buying this product as our go-to ever since we found it for the first time back in 2019. And we never looked back! It is great for both of us, and we have different skin types! As I get older especially my skin gets drier and more sensitive, and this soap really keeps me hydrated. It also lasts a long time and continues to produce great lather to the last little sliver. AND it smells good. What more can you ask for? : )

This soap really makes you feel clean after after showering. Hard to explain but you just feel cleaner than with common soaps. The large bar last my wife and I about a month compared to less than a week with other soap bars

I really love the scent of this soap, but $10 for a bar of soap is too much. Only purchased a couple of times. Not sure the love of the scent is worth it. Only 4 stars because of the price

I really like the texture and scent of this soap. I got the larger size not knowing what a “normal” bar of soap would be, and find it a bit big for the hand soap at the bathroom sink. Next time, I’ll get the smaller bar, but this is long lasting so I’m guessing that won’t be for quite a while.It does turn white when it’s wet as some of the pictures show but it dries back to normal after a few minutes.

I love this Lavender French soap; the scent is true lavender, the crushed lavender flowers are aromatic and there's an abundance of them throughout the bar. I've read some reviews that people don't like the roughness of the soap against their skin - it's fantastic for exfoliation! After a shower using this soap my skin is unbelievably soft and smooth, thanks to the crushed lavender flowers. The fragrance is calming and the bar lasts a long time (mine lasts about 4-6 months). Exactly the same product I used to purchase when travelling to France. Highly recommend.

EXCELENTE ESPUMA Y MUY BUEN AROMA

I'm a repeat purchaser of made in France soap. I found the fragrance a little too minty and not as authentic smelling as some of the others I've tried from this brand. (I'll stick to lavender and verbena moving forward.) It was ok for my sensitive skin and seemed to moisturize well.
