Jack Goes to Montessori School

Such a cute book about going to a Montessori School. If you have a little one and they attend a Montessori school, you need this book. You and your child can learn about the method and have an idea of what your little one does all day at school.

Love this book because it introduces concepts my son is becoming familiar with at school and talks of everyday materials and activities he does. I give it -1 star because it’s a little long and feels like it tries to fit in more Montessori materials than necessary for a simple story used to introduce kids to Montessori school.

I purchased this book for my two year old who is an avid reader (loves to be read to) in preparation for his start of Montessori. This book is excellent! He absolutely loves it! He has requested for us to read the book to him multiple times! We read sentences to him that are the most relevant and it captures his attention :)I appreciate the way the author maps out the day and how the illustrations accurately capture a Montessori classroom. Highly recommend if you have a child who loves books about life experiences.

My son had just switched from a public nursery school to a Montessori preschool, and seemed a bit disappointed and confused after his first week there. He missed his old teacher and friends, but mostly he missed the toys, and of course (for a four-year-old) didn't understand what to expect from his new school. We've read him this book a few times and he's paid close attention; you could tell that he saw himself in those pages. After reading it, we had talked about the different "works" shown in the pages, and which ones were and weren't out in his classroom yet. He came home BURSTING with excitement the other day that the Pink Tower we had read about had been introduced to them that day! This book may not be the most riveting to an adult, but the simple description of life in a Montessori class was definitely helpful to my little guy.

Nice book to read at the beginning of the school year so new children especially get an idea of what happens at a Montessori School. The children enjoyed identifying the various works that the character Jack does in the book.

My kids just started Montessori school and love this book. It would be awesome if this was a series about Jack and how he explores different materials at school. Write more! :)

This softcover book is very nice for children in Montessori schools who can relate to the materials described in the book which is done in a friendly manner. It can also help Montessori parents introduce Montessori practices to other family members who are unfamiliar with the method and values.

This book is a wonderful way to prepare a young child for what to expect when going to a Montessori school. It is a very fun read and the illustrations show a variety of toys used for education in the Montessori setting. My 3 year old really loved it!

This book is great! It clearly explains what happens at a Montessori nursery school and shows what makes it different from other schools. Thoroughly recommended.
