Clean cut, great design, made to last
I’ve been using the smaller MUJI nail clipper for a couple of years and just got this 8cm version. The quality is just as great—solid build, sharp blades, and smooth action. It feels more comfortable to hold and easier to use with more control. What I really like is the clean, simple design and the fact that it’s made in Japan. It looks good, works well, and does the job without any hassle. The nail file on the back is strong and works fast—definitely not gentle, but effective.Compared to other clippers I’ve owned, this one feels much better made. It’s sharp and cuts cleanly without splitting or crushing the nails. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that feels premium but still simple.

It's a good nail clipper for good price. What more do you want?
It cuts cleanly & don't have to use as much effort as the cheap quality ones. Textured handle helps w/ grip. Nail file on the handle is nice addition. Plastic catcher may not catch everything depending on angle, but it does help w/ nail clippings not flying everywhere. I also have a seki edge & this muji performs comparably, but w/ added nail file & plastic catcher that the seki edge doesn't have.Worth the slightly higher price compared to the Super cheap low quality supermarket/drugstore ones for under $5, especially if you can get this muji one for cheap, like online.

Best in class MADE IN JAPAN and that’s a good thing!
You’ll go through a dozen or two of the cheap China cheapies, that are good (if at all) for the first or second use. Then the cutting blade thingy becomes dull. Not with this MADE IN JAPAN nail clipper. Always sharp, never dull through scores of uses of both hand and foot. You’ll score a winner if you bounce the premium price. Well worth it! Try it, as an old TV add used to say in a whining voice; “Try it, You’ll like it!” I think so.

Expensive but the best clipper I've bought
I've had a stroke and clipping nails has been difficult because of the force required to cut.I bought these hoping they would cut more easily. In fact they make the job a piece of cake. It is like cutting through butterThey are plain, have no name, come with a plastic sleeve that I keep. They are satin chrome plated, heavy textured metal with a nice nail file. If you are looking for the best clipper available, this is it.Do not cut anything but your nails, you will ruin them.

Quality clipper, and great value!
Fantastic product, especially for the price. I clip my nails and cuticles fanatically. I generally use a larger, toe nail type clipper, for my hands and feet. I have more control over the larger clipper, than small ones. This is the larger of the two (8cm - love it) that I think the smaller version (6cm) will be more like a mid-sized clipper, so I ordered two of those, too.Note that the clipper comes in a weird plastic cover. I thought this was for storage, but it's actually a little container that will catch your nail chunge. Cool idea, we'll see how that works, over time. I view this as a perk to the already excellent product.Overall, this is an excellent product, at a sweet price point.

A revelation--well worth the small price difference vs. drugstore generic clippers
I've been using drugstore toenail clippers for many decades. But then I read a review in the NYTimes' Wirecutter product review guide. They recommended clippers costing several times the cost of these, but they said, basically, if you're a cheapskate they guess these will do.So I got these. And honestly it's hard to imagine any clippers working better than these. The difference is a revelation--especially if you don't have quarterback hands. I was having to strain to clip toenails until getting these. Now it's hot knife through butter time.My only reason for less than five stars is that the jaws of the clipper don't separate very far and the plastic shroud to catch the clippings combine to slightly constrain how you can use them. But it's a minor complain. It's an extremely well-crafted tool and a pleasure to use overall. And I have to note the built-in nail file. It works at least five times as well as the files in those drugstore clippers (the ones that even have a file built in). Extraordinarily effective.

Best nail clippers I have ever used
These nail clippers are very substantial. They cut well and are easy to clean. I like them very, very much. I purchased the big ones and the small ones. Both sizes are excellent.

Difficult to use, but sharp and cuts well
I was really disappointed in the difficulty I have had using this. The weird plastic cover makes it hard to see when you are clipping and adds extra bulk. The blades are sharp and cut smoothly, but it is awkward and hard to use. I am a smaller, petite person and this was just unwieldy. I tend to use my older one that has a terrible blade and is like 15 years old, over this one.
