More energy, more stains, a happier, healthier lifestyle.
This book is a very helpful book about how to improve our metabolism. It is 267 pages of very helpful information. Although a few of this author's books need a better proofreader, his books are all trying in some way to help, explain, guide us to a better lifestyle. A lifestyle where we are: eating good foods that are good for us, we are laughing more, and our stress level is reduced and of course let's not forget to add exercise. One thing I like about this author's books is he doesn't write 'don't eat too many carbs'... he tells his readers what a carbohydrate is. He explains. the right foods we should be eating, and the foods we should avoid. He doesn't say "eat your vegetables", he lists the Good, the Bad, and the okay foods that we should eat. He is trying to help us. To ingrain this healthier lifestyle into our brains until it becomes a good habit. The key, the author says, is consistency. Making it easier for us to follow every day. He tells us the who, what, when, and the last and most helpful for his readers... he tells us HOW. Some solid suggestions about giving your metabolism a lift
As we age, we all could use a safe and reliable way to kick-start our ever-slowing metabolisms. And, after a bit of a search, I am pleased to find Erik Smith’s Speed Up Your Metabolism.Mr. Smith has an obvious grasp of the important facts surrounding metabolism, and he shares what he knows about the topic across the first several pages of the book. Beyond that, we are introduced to some foods that will benefit our metabolisms, and then moves on to exercise. This is really where the book shines, as Smith explains several novel ways to give a jump to our slowing systems. The book ends with some everyday activities, such as getting some sun, which I can do in our spare time and without much effort.After going in not knowing much about the topic, I am happily surprised with what I got when I purchased Speed Up Your Metabolism. Five-star review!

Trying one more time
I knew some of the tips in Speed Up Your Metabolism, but had forgotten or stopped using them. But some of Smith's tips were new to me. Reading the book inspired me to drop a few pounds this spring. I especially liked the list of foods that will speed metabolism. I like green tea and it would be oh, so easy to drink three cups a day.Starting a new job last week I had to give up my "life of leisure" and start getting up early every day again. I could use some more energy and this book will definitely help me to get it. If I lose a few pounds in the process, so much better.
