I WAS SO EXCITED TO RECEIVE THIS BOOK AND EVEN MORE EXCITED TO READ IT. I READ THE ENTIRE BOOK IN 2 NIGHTS!!! THIS BOOK IS REALLY 10 STARS!!! EVERYONE KNOWS ALICIA IS BEAUTIFUL, GREAT SONGWRITER AND SINGER, AND GREAT PIANIST. BUT WHAT I ADMIRE MOST ABOUT ALICIA AND FIND MOST BEAUTIFUL ABOUT HER, IS HER SPIRIT!!! SHE HAS A ANGELIC SPIRIT!!! THAT'S WHAT MAKES HER SO BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING!!! THIS BOOK, TO ME SEEMED SO MUCH LIKE A SELF HELP BOOK. IT'S DEFINITELY A JOURNEY, A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY!!! AND WITHIN THESE PAGES, IT CAPTIVATES YOUR SOUL, IT'S ALL LOVE!!! THIS BOOK IS A PAGE TURNER, I HAD THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME PUTTING IT DOWN. I HIGHY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY. IF YOU WANT A TRUE BLESSING, TO ENRICH YOUR LOVING SPIRIT, REWARD YOURSELF BY PURCHASING THIS BEAUTIFUL BOOK, AND ENJOY THIS AMAZING JOURNEY OF ALICIA KEYS.

First, Alicia is someone who I have looked up to since I was a child and was one of my major idols growing up. That being said, however I really do feel that this book is very superficial and really did not go into depth about anything. As someone who has been following her for nearly 20 years, I am honestly kinda disappointed. I was hoping this book would be more genuine and deep, and a more thoughtful detailing about how her past experiences shaped who she is now, but I didn’t get that all. Such a shame to cause I really tried to get into this book but I just couldn’t.

I just got this book today and couldnt put it down, ive read the entire book already!! Its a great read. Alicia has always been someone i have admired, this book gives a inside look intoher true self!! What a beautiful soul. I recommend this book to everyone..

I have never been carried with a book the way More myself has just done. We needed this, we need this so much than we all know. Thank you Ali ( as Nana always called you) thank you for sharing your on going journey of descovering yourself. This book is an honest reflection of Alicia Key's life. It is so raw that at times, I was crying & seeing myself in the words. It's a MUST read for all!

When I saw Alicia was writing a book about homer musical journey, I couldn’t resist!!! Her written words take you to a magical place-just like her music!! A must read.

I have always enjoyed the music of Alicia Keys and see her as beautiful, knowing her book was coming out, had me wanting to really get to know her. That's the beauty of reading someone's life story. For those of you trying to find yourself, I highly recommend reading this book sooner than later. Alicia shares her life that includes her struggles. Alicia keeps it real. She embraces her ancestral roots and learns. Alicia comes from incredible, talented strong warrior women and that is where her success comes from. Always loving the piano, she envisioned her dreams and never gave up. At the same time, Alicia continued working on herself, staying in touch with her emotions and developing with them. Alicia realizes that the energy you give is what's coming back., with that she finds her soul mate, creating the love of three children, as well as a bonus family. She travels to Egypt to discover the truth of history, in turn educating me. By this time she is a huge success in the music industry and she uses her success to build charitable organizations. Alicia is one of my heroes. I'm so glad to have read about a musician who spiritually developed with phenomenal energy and continues doing so.As a reader who struggles spiritually, I can't praise this woman's journey enough! Alicia has inspired me and shown me a direction I couldn't find on my own.Thank you Alicia for being real, genuine and soulful.

I've been reading Alicia Keys book, More Myself - A Journey.Always loved her music and when I was younger, she inspired me in some ways.But lately, she's been more holistic and in the past few years I've fallen for her again. So I bought her book through lockdown, and I'm slowly reading through it as it's easy to pick up and put down not because it doesn't engage, but because it engages on a level that requires self reflection, to truly digest. For myself anyway.So much resonates, and the raw honesty is beautiful.I don't leave reviews, but she deserves this at the very least, for writing so honestly.

I LOVE Alicia Keys! Love, love, love, love, LOVE her, BUT even though she showed more vulnerability towards the end of the book I feel that she could have been a little bit more vulnerable at the very beginning. It’s almost like she’s still scared of being judged. Alicia did open up a little when discussing the relationship with her biological Father ‘Craig’ (as she personally referred to him), but I never got to really know the old Alicia (what she was like in school, who her friends in Hells Kitchen were or her choice of boyfriends).I wasn’t expecting a warts-and-all book, as I know that’s not who Alicia is and I know she’s guarded and at times very private, but it would have been nice to see why she made the choices she made when she was younger so we have an idea of who she is today. As the saying goes, you are who you are and you were who you were and you should be proud of both of those people.Alicia is very similar to myself (raised by a single Mother, having a love and appreciation for Hip-Hop, “Ghetto-Hippy” (as she brands the way she dresses), very simple person, shows a love and appreciation for art and this book just made me love her more as she inspired me in the choices I make with my life from here on.Love you Alicia. Like I’m 100, I will STILL be singing your songs and appreciating you for the incredible human being you are.

I bought this book primarily for my 11 year old daughter who is an avid singer. I was looking for something to give her a realistic non fairy tale view of the music industry and what it takes to 'make it' in the music world. I read it myself first of all to ensure the content was suitable for her age and was not disappointed. The book is entertaining and inspiring extolling talent, passion, self belief and hard work as the primary elements of success. Later the book explores the responsibility she felt for putting her success to good use for others less fortunate in a very down to earth and relatable way. Alicia's life is portrayed simply and confidently and there is no mention of drugs, abuse, sex or anything one might not want their tween exposed to. Really great book enjoyed by both of us.

I have been a fan of Alicia Keys music for years but have fallen in love with her even more by learning about her journey and the experiences. Such an inspiring book and easy to read. I like that it's different because she includes other people's point of views on something that happened in her life so we just don't see it from her eyes but others as well

I’m not really one for audio books, this has to be the exception. Alicia Keys’ speaking voice is as soothing and inspiring as her singing voice.
