BuckleyBoo BuckleyMonkey 18" Brown

Around a year old, she became obsessed with buckles. I had no idea they made buckle toys like this, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this in my search on Amazon! 8 months later, she still can still sit down and buckle for a hour with this toy (which is an eternity for a 1.5 year old)! She literally asks for this toy every single day. I love that it has all different types of buckles along with different ribbons. It helps her with matching and logic. They can be difficult to unbuckle, even for me, so I have to be close by to unbuckle for her. But it's not a big deal, I'm always close by anyway.It's also VERY durable. Our pit puppy decided to take the BuckleyMonkey outside, drag it through the freshly watered yard, and rough house a little with it a few weeks ago. The toy didn't have any tears and it cleaned up really well. The directions say to only spot clean, but it was pretty dirty and spot cleaning wasn't going to cut it. It was either toss it or attempt the washing machine. I buckled all of the buckles, washed it on the gentle cycle, let it air dry for a day and it's as good as new! No stuffing clumps or ripped seams. The buckles were all twisted, but I just unbuckled them and the wrinkles from the twisting came out during the day of drying.

Went searching for a buckle toy because my 18 month old was obsessed with buckling my husbands sandals over & over & over again...and was happy to see that they do exist! This one caught my eye because it looked so cudly and cute with 5 different types of buckles versus just 1 like other buckle toys. The title states it is 18", but I still was shocked how big it is when it arrived, which is a good thing!! My son immediately went to work on the buckles. At first, he could only buckle a few of them and I had to unbuckle them for him...but within 2 months of having it, he can now buckle & unbuckle all 5 of them on his own. I was a tad bit worried about him pinching a finger in 2 of the buckles when we first got it because they snapped together rather firmly...but that has softened up after owning it for 2 months and now he couldn't pinch a finger if he tried. The buckles do not go all the way around, they are sewn on the sides of the monkey right under his arms...so from the back it just looks like a giant stuffed animal. The stitching on this seems to be high quality and should last through some rough tugging and pulling (my son surely has tested that on his!!). The buckles are on a ribbon-like material that is sturdy; I don't worry about him pulling the buckles off...the monkeys tail will come off before one of those buckles. I also throw it in the washing machine with no problems (note I have a front loading one so no agitator). I see this being one of his favorite toys for many more months, if not years (my 5 & 6 year old's love to play with it too). Money well spent!

My two year old cannot undo the buckles himself and he gets frustrated. I was hoping it was something he can play with to distract himself while I clean but he starts crying and ask for help.The quality of the item is great. A few times my son got the wrong buckles together and it got stuck but dad was able to help him out. Also its much bigger then I thought it would be... defiantly not something to travel with.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter who loves buckles. Overall, the bear was a huge hit with her and me but one buckle was broken on arrival. Nothing a little bit of superglue could not fix, but it was annoying that it arrived broken. The bear is nice and soft and my daughter will cuddle with the bear and carry it around.It has kept my daughter entertained for long periods of time and is building many skills while she plays: matching colors/patterns, dexterity, strength, focus on a task.Overall, great product!

My son was FASCINATED with his car seat seat belt and would play with our extra car seat's seat belt for HOURS at a time in the living room, so once I saw this product I decided to try it. He absolutely LOVED this BuckleyBoo!!! He needed some assistance at first to figure out the different types of buckles, but once he figured it all out = it was on!!!!! This product is made of a quality material to boot! Boys can be very rough with toys, and this toy hasn't even lost a stitch yet! It is also very soft, so my son can snuggle with it at night too. I HIGHLY recommend this product to ANY parent that has a child who is fascinated with buckles/seat belts!!!!

I bought this Buckley Boo Bear because my daughter was constantly going to her booster seat to practice with that buckle. She loves this bear. My only complaint is there is not much give in the fabric and with her little hands she needs a little extra fabric so she can manuever the buckle to properly buckle.

I got this toy for christmas for my nephew who is just over 2 years old. He was engulfed with so many toys but as soon as he opened this one he was completely enamored with it for hours!! It is also very educational for his age because he has learned to match the right pattern of the belt with the right buckle. So cute!! As for durability I was a little disappointed one of the buckles tore off the belt after one week. We were able to sew it back together so it ended up ok... But other then that it is a GREAT toy!

My 22 mth old first was more into the fact it was a bear. Now she wants to click each one by herself. It is still a little advance for her since she is unable to take apart all the latches but it's a mommy-and-daughter activity that we both love.

If you have a busy, busy, busy toddler - this is the stuffed animal for you.5 different clips keep them busy for entire minutes (I'm happy with seconds!) and teaches fine motor skills, patterns and patience.6 stars.

great little invention.hours of fun for both mom and toddler!had to repair a small hole in the arm pit of the monkey when he arrived but nothing that affects the toy itself.

This was a great idea, but my toddler has a little trouble with the buckles being a bit stiff. Oh well, she'll get stronger :)

It is hard to rate this as it is a Christmas gift and the child has not had a chance to see/use it yet. I won;t really be able to give a rating until this happens , but from what I see so far it looks fine.

This is a great educational toy and my daughter loves it. It has kept her amused way longer than I thought it would.
