Exped Cloudburst 25, lightweight waterproof backpack to trust.
I bought this backpack to replace a green Cloudburst 25, which after 7 or 8 years of almost daily use, became less waterproof due to degradation of the inner lining. So I know they can last a long time.Got it snagged on a thorn ? No problem. Stick bits of duct tape inside and outside, and it will stay waterproof. These backpacks are light, waterproof, and have a bungee cord system useful for stowing a jacket on the outside of the pack. While walking the 500 mile Camino de Santiago, I used a Cloudburst 25 as an evening bag to keep valuables, camera and electronic gadgets safe and dry on sometimes rainy walks to retaurants and bars.Currently I use a Cloudburst 25 as a daypack for walks, and also as a shopping bag.The straps are strong but light, and there is a u-shaped pad for the base of your back. This latest version has an improvement to the bungee system, enabling a jacket or whatever to be attached to the pack with one pull. There are no fancy pockets or zips on a Cloudburst 25. It is just a simple lightweight waterproof backpack which can be trusted.

AMAZING - a must buy!
Been using this for about a month now and so far I've had it on 5 one-nighters and just recently came back from a 3-day thru hike. This product is amazing. The 3-day hike saw heavy non-stop rain in the mountains. This bag held-up SO WELL. No water got in the bag. The only wet in the bag was from me sticking my wet hands in there and putting in wet things. Even with wet items going in to the bag like my tarp, which was soaking, the bag's waterproofing meant the wet stayed in one place, does that make sense? The water from wet items did not soak into and seep through the inside of the bag which helped keep my down sleeping bag at the bottom fairly dry.In addition, the waterproof nature of this bag means it does not let out air. You can stuff some clothes in there, trap some air and by closing the bag up create a very soft, slightly air filled pillow for yourself. This bag very effectively doubles as a pillow. This bag makes great use of the 25l size. I easily fill the 5.5kg load limit including 2-3 days food, 1l water, tarp (DD Magic Carpet XL), sleeping bag (NewDoar Ultralite goose down), bivvy (regular Snugpak bivvy), bathkit, fire kit, Lixada 500ml pot into which I put a 100ml gas canister and the BRS-3000T stove, spare clothes, Bacho hand saw and a basic Mora knife. It's super compact to look at and very casual so you can walk around with a full bug-out load and ready to pitch camp anywhere without drawing any attention or making yourself look like a hiker/camper.

this replaces an identical bag that lasted 10 years of frequent use
This was used for everything from a waterproof day sac to a shopping bag and was also used a lot in small boats with a risk of frequent dunking. Remarkably versatile, very light in weight and comfortable.

Lightweight, waterproof, good quality.
Very handy. Extremely lightweight, waterproof and reliable little rucksack which is easy to pull out of a larger bag to go up to a summit or just a trip into town when travelling. Quite tough too. Can be used as a waterproof stuffsack inside your backpack so adds almost no extra weight. There are no inside pockets though, so I sometimes find myself rummaging for small things (but that's presumably because they have prioritised weight). The elastic on the outside is very handy for an extra waterproof etc, or for fixing to your bike.

Versatile and handy
The newer model has thinner straps and misses the transparent panel that let me see what was inside, but this is a handy little pack and I have two of them.Great for transporting wet swim gear, or gym gear, or a basic running pack.
