Awesome find
I learned about penofen from a friend over a year ago. I have been putting polyurethane and spar varnish on my garage doors. And only a year the paint started peeling up. My friend convinced me to sand my doors and use Penofen. It’s been over a year and the doors look great and the best thing is when they start looking like they need another coat you just put another coat on and there is absolutely no sanding required

Nice color, smells a lot
Pictured is the mission brown color applied to old dried wood that was not previously stained. On my bench that I stained, it went on very easy and the color is fantastic. I also applied the stain on a wood veneer bookshelf that unfortunately did not take the stain very well. I can't fault the stain however, as this wood was previously finished, being less porous. This is really a 3.5 star review, the color is nice depending on the wood but the smell is bad. It's labelled as low/0 VOC but that only relates to harmful vapors and does not relate to possible odor. My bench was still smelling after a couple of months.

Looks great on Ipe
Used the natural color on Ipe wood, followed the directions and it looks great. I have to re-apply ever 6 months or so but its out in the weather so thats to be somewhat expected but thats why it gets 4 stars.

Great stain for light oak finish.
Used this to seal and stain an old wine barrel after sanding the oak down to good wood. Perfect color!

Exactly what I was looking for to restore my ipe wood table
I bought this at the recommendation of the manufacturer of my Ipe patio table set. To prep, I sanded lightly and wiped with a damp cloth. I let it dry overnight, then brushed on the oil. The set looks like new. I think the trick is to make sure you wipe off as much oil as possible after letting it soak in for 15-20 minutes. I used less than half a quart for the entire set. I'll definitely buy this again.

Not durable enough for outdoor use.
This stuff is ok for wood/projects that are going to be used indoors - given enough time to properly dry and cure.Yes, it's definitely a plus that it comes from 'sustainable' sources, but your projects will suffer for it.For outdoor use, if you research you'll find that Verde is one of the least durable products. If you want outdoor protection, look into spar varnish.

Fantastic Results and Easy to Use!
I used these to recoat my cedar deck chairs. This product was recommended by the builder of the chairs. I cleaned them thoroughly, let them dry and applied this with a brush. Wait a while, wipe off the excess. That's it. The chairs have a rich reddish-gold tone (over cedar). They look absolutely fabulous!

Good natural alternative to typical synthetic/chemical brands in homedepot
I'm happy to see a natural alternative to typical synthetic/chemical brands in homedepot. I bought this to coat a cedar gate I bought. With this finish it looks great. Just make sure to wash and keep the rags outside because if kept in the house the smell of the oil could be overpowering and could cause irritation.
