After not studying for a year, picked up this book and passed the exam first try five days later
If you need to pass the real estate exam, get this book. Here's what happened to me. I took a real estate class back in December of 2011. Finished up a few months later. I had scheduled my exam with PSI on a number of occasions, but life always got in the way and I had to cancel. After a few times canceling, I ended up dropping the idea of real estate entirely since a lot of stuff was going on at home, with my business, etc.Well, fast forward to January 2013, I realize that my application with the state and all the registration fees I had already paid are only good for one year from the registration. I only had one week before that expired, yet I haven't even glanced at real estate material in a full year. To make matters worse, because a year had lapsed, I lost all access to my online course material, practice tests, and all of that. I thought I was screwed having to take the test going in almost blind after a year off.Not so. Grabbed this book and sat down with a highlighter and read it cover to cover. Took the included practice test and then went back and examined the answers I got wrong, and took the test again. And again.Long story short, five days later I went and took the exam and passed it on the first try. I'm certain that without this book, having taken a year off, and not having access to my course materials, I would have failed. So, if you need to pass the exam, get this book and use it properly. You won't be disappointed.

I would recommend this book as one source to your test preparation ...
There is a lot of information in this book that you need to know to pass the real estate licensing exam. It covers all of the topics you need to know and provides you with tips on what can be described as "detractors" which are terms or answers that test designers put in to distract you from the right answer if you don't know the answer and haven't studied enough. I found the book very informative and the 80 question practice test was helpful to me in preparing. There were a number of the practice test questions that were verbatim on my licensing exam. There were also a number of questions on my licensing exam that were not on the practice test. I used the book as just one of the resources to study for the exam and I was able to pass it on the first attempt. I would recommend this book as one source to your test preparation but it should not be relied on as your only preparation resource.

sweet and to the point) I would have been so ...
I passed the exam yesterday. Both state and national. If I did not go thru this book (Short, sweet and to the point) I would have been so lost.I kept reading that 400 pages book from PSI affiliated school for 60 hours course and that completely scared the creep out of me since the reading was just not getting over though I understood all concepts. This served as my bible. Read it twice before taking the exam and I was so confident. Questions in this book are amazing and to my surprise there were many practice questions that are given in this book appearing on the test.I am an IT engineer, single mom and with two kids and full time job - this book simply served as a breeze. Absolutely worth it.btw I am not given an commission to write a review. This a an honest review by an overwhelmed individual who is enjoying every bit of her exam success attributed to this book.

Unnecessary additional purchase for RE exam
It was not as helpful as I thought it would be, I advise reading the first book you purchased, this was simply a regurgitation. If you did not purchase the actual book, than this is helpful because it summarized everything, don't let the instructed talk you into buying both, only one is necessary.

I really Like this exam prep
I have to say that I am very happy with this exam prep. It was very informative for the national portion of the real estate exam. I was so happy to get it in the Kindle edition. I was able to take it with me everywhere and study. This prep covers what is most important, plus it gives a nice exam at the end that will help you see where you are lacking and need to study more. This is by far a fantastic deal. I do not regret this purchase at all. Now I have this to go back and look up things whenever I need it. I passed the exam with flying colors and in only 1 hour!!.

Is ok
I barely pass the national test today. I didn't used this to study but there are some questions here that were definitely in the test. I used CompuCram and psi 2017 to study. I feel like there really isn't a good study guide. But using all of these books definitely helps.

This is all I used
Great book. I'm an attorney in Colorado, so I got to take the short education course, which doesn't include anything for the national section. This book was the only thing I used. Read it in about 4 hours, got 75/80 on the national portion. To the reviewer who said there's not enough on the state portion, the book explicitly says it does not cover the state portion. There is a lot of overlap, but you need to make sure you understand trust accounts, closings, powers of the RE commission, the broker/licensee relationship, and the Colorado forms.

Great study guide
I wanted to find something that would help me review for my state real estate licensing exam and I am so glad I came across this book. It even followed the basic outline that I had received from my state! Although not state specific, it gives you the information that you need to know and the sample test in the back is asked in the same way that the state test was. Helped me pass my test on the first try. Highly recommended if your state uses PSI to administer their test.
