Great box set

Definitely buy your Bolt Action stuff through Amazon, it's significantly cheaper than going to Warlord directly. Do note that this box does contain some metal models, namely the MMG teams, mortar team, and howitzer, but otherwise it's all good-looking plastic models.

For an Australian consumer this box set is amazing value compared to what it would cost from a regailer in Australia (brick and mortar or online). It has a good mix of figures and can easily be used to make a playable reinforced platoon for Bolt Action. If you wanted more options add a US Army Support Group box and you really wouldn't need anything else.I have a few minor criticisms of the set, but they aren't enough to lower my rating:- the US infantry plastic spure does not include any pointing hands, binoculars or radios. It is disappointing that the sprues did not include parts to make models that would be clearly leaders and the lack of radios seems a real oversight for a US force.- the 105mm howitzer seems an odd choice. It's a nice model, but seems a bit out of place, something that big supporting a platoon- the metal medium mortar was really difficult to assemble, seems to be a poor design lacking suitable pins, keys or other clear connector points for the mortar components

received the new edition box but came with 6 old edition sprues, and no weapons sprues. you’ll end up building 36 soldiers with hands holding nothing
