Worked great on cake top with royal icing
I didn’t attempt it on a cake side, as I imagine there’s not enough flexibility to get it flat enough without bits of letters sticking out. (Bur If you DO attempt it, use tulle/netting to keep it flat, so there’s no lifts and spreads in wrong places, see evil cake genius demo) I used it on top of a cake and it looks fab. Royal icing is quite gloopy, and it seems (according to other reviews) that a thicker texture paint or medium works best.
