Escape

Okay, this movie might be a bit hard to find the right niche audience for. It deals with the question "If there is a God, why do bad things happen to good people?", but in more of a documentary nature than a "This is why" canned-faith sort of way. It is a Christian film, but probably not for younger audiences because of the violence. No obscenities I can remember though, and it doesn't glorify violence the way that Hollywood does, so Escape has that going for it. I didn't have a problem with the actor's performances or the photography either, so I guess if I have a problem with the movie it might be with the way it deals with the subject matter. The movie compares how two people go through a tough situation - a doctor struggling with "How can there be a God?", and a British ex-pat with a strong faith. This movie struck a chord with me at many levels, but it doesn't come straight out and answer the question. (Personally I think the answer usually lies with God's rejoinder in the book of Job, or perhaps C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity) But one thing the movie did accomplish was help me think about my own struggles.

It wasn't the most exciting show but liked the message of how God is good all the time and never leaves us or forsakes us. He is well able to deliver his people in any circumstance. It doesn't always seem like He's there but Heis. It was a simple movie and most people probably won't like it but I did.

There's not too much talk about the Lord until the end which was a little disappointing, but decent movie.

Now this is a family movie about staying encouraged no matter the situation. A big problem that I have had with many Christ centered films is that the acting is poor. But this is an exception to the norm, these actors do a very believable job in this story about redemption. In this film of kidnap, the struggle to survive and attempt to escape, this film has enough action to hold your attention. The film also has a very good storyline that causes two families to cross paths at two very different times in their lives. There are plenty of positive gems of knowledge in this film, making it good for the whole family.

Very good movie! Didnt like ending, but would recommend it.

This is a movie that you watch once, and need a really good reason to watch again. It doesn't really leave you with topics for discussion, a connection to the characters or wanting to recommend it to others. It leaves you feeling like, okay... next. It dealt with human trafficking, pirates and the maltreatment of Americans who travel to foreign countries. The movie was predictable and has elements of unnecessary violence within it. It tends to show how people in other countries react... it shines a bad light on people in other countries, as many Christian movies do. There are good Samaritans in the world, but Christian movies oftentimes will cast non-Americans, then shine a negative light towards them. That is what this movie subtly did. It started off with promise, but then went a little off track from where you might assume, then became very predictable. It asked the question, "Why do bad things happen to good people," but failed to answer the question. As I stated, it was okay. The acting was good, the graphics were good, but the story line could have been better.

Bad acting, bad Christian segways, bad ending. Main actor dies 5 mins after a gun wound to the STOMACH, lmao. Everybody knows you live MORE then 9 hours from that kind of injury. Not to mention, he was with a Doctor! 🤣🤣🤣 This movie was a waist of time. The only good part, was being in Thailand. I want my money back!

I waited awhile before getting this movie. I was not disappointed. The message was a good one and the actors did a very good job of delivering the message. It was sad in a way but then, life isn't always happy.

Good film about two men who has been kidnapped. One is a Dr who is kidnapped to look after a drug dealing criminal, but after meeting the first kidnapped victim, who does everything to help him live through his incarceration and help him escape, he finds god. Must see.

Great video I can not wait to watch it good product.
