Stratus Clouds Skypanels - Replacement Fluorescent Light Diffuser

These are nice. They look good under the lights (better on higher ceilings.) I will probably buy more in the future. To cut to size for projects, you should definitely use similar methods of cutting any thick (but thinner than plexiglass) plastic. I did not have my tools with me so I just used a box cutter which worked just fine after a few slices and a little movement. I would not personally use any sort of wire cutters or scissors.

The cloud design is soft and not really noticeable. I have a small office in a high school I notice less fatigue at the end of the day. My students really like them and a few who have had concussions commented how nice the lighting was and took off their sunglasses. I was glad I read the reviews to use a utility knife to cut. The panels are thicker but easy enough to cut. I placed the original panel from the light on top of the sky panel slide the utility knife along the edge. Be careful not to slice into your table,open up the cardboard box they came in as a buffer between panels and table. I was able to use the edge of the table to snap off the strip I was cutting off.

I honestly don't know why this product has received such high ratings! I am not at all pleased with the appearance! First of all, it was to big, so I had to trim it to fit. As the other reviews state, it is somewhat difficult to cut. It began to crack as I was cutting it. When I went to install it pieces began to break where it started to crack, revealing those missing pieces now that it is up! Second, it really does not look as nice as the pictures lead you to believe! To me it is very cheap looking! I bought this for my bathroom to add a bit of ambience, but it did nothing but cheapen up the room. It may be "Ok" for a business type setting, but definitely would not recommend it for home use! Save your money and the headache!

I had a small yoga studio and I put these in the light. Everyone loved them. You would be surprised at how many people actually thought I had skylights! I would order them again and again! They are thick so they dont warp. Excellent product!

Thick, beautiful durable product. Stands alone. Can't cut it easily though or it will crack. Tried to cut with some success with a power tool. Also very important to have frame clips (purchased separately). Beware of competitors that have flimsy non-stand-alone cloud pictures.

We put these in our teachers lounge and what a relaxing difference they have made! A windowless room now feels more serene and relaxing. Our teachers have been raving about them!

I have a photography studio and in the area where the models get ready is horrible fluorescent lighting and drop ceiling. I can't really afford to switch it all out but no one ever likes to see themselves in that kind of light let alone have hair and makeup applied and try on clothes under it. These panels are a cheap and easy solution to dull down that horrible light...They are heavy duty and are not particularly easy to cut with a box cutter, however totally worth the effort.
