GDFBHooded Wool Cloak, Burgundy

As others have noted, this was kind of stinky when it arrived. A very chemically smell, but we aired it out on a couple of hot days and it improved dramatically. My wife still felt it smelled too much and had it dry-cleaned and it is not nearly odor-free. The quality is good though... nice and thick with a heavy cotton liner that kept the kids warm at night. The length is good for both my partner and me (she's 5.6" and I am 6'1"). I would definitely buy again. I just wish they could do something about the initial odor.

This has a very strong chemical smell that has persisted (albeit less so) even after being hung out for several months. Also, it tends to drift backward due to its weight even when tied and ends up against the neck of the wearer, and the hood is very long and pointed, which can be a blessing (it's very deep) or a curse (sometimes a little TOO deep) With that said, it's quite toasty and seems to be of good quality, so I'm mostly satisfied!For reference about the length, I'm about 6' tall, and this hits me mid-calf.

Nice cloak, doesn't have a clasp, just a rope between the two sides. The hood doesn't have drawstrings or anything so it blows down with the wind. But it's warm and keeps the rain off very well. Expect a bit of fiddling with the hood to try and get it to sit right, especially if it's windy, but it's nice.

I've been looking for a good quality wool cloak that doesn't go overboard on the budget and this beautiful Burgundy cloak is it. I have also been looking for a cloak that I can be rough with, use while out camping. Last night I took my new cloak out and tried it on a close by path full of brush and this cloak protected me from any scratches and was super comfortable keeping me warm as well and then serving as a good thing to lie in for a spell. I'm really happy with it and glad to have bought it. I will be getting the black wool cloak once it's back in stock and available.

Great cloak for the price! Fit nice and I have a 48” bust line. Went through the wash well, however the lining took up a bit of the color.

I've been using as a blanket just to try it out and it works way better than using multiple blankets when the house gets cold. It's also comfy to a new level.

Great well constructed cloak. The only thing that would make it better would be to have arm slits.
