This is the most effective nasal aspirator I've ever used. It was a godsend recently when my baby caught a bad cold that caused her to have trouble nursing. I was shocked at how much mucus it collects, and I love that the valves allow continuous squeezing without constant removal and reinsertion. However, it is quite a pain to clean, and if you lose one of the tiny valves you will render the product completely useless. As of the date of this review, I haven't seen a way to order replacement membranes without ordering a whole new aspirator. I found that the best way to clean it was to disassemble and then soak all the parts in a cup of hot soapy water, then rinse them in a fine strainer to keep the little valves from going down the drain. If this was a few dollars cheaper and easier to clean, or if it came with a set of extra membranes, it would be the perfect baby product.

My baby has small nostrils and we tried the Frida Snot Sucker and she hated it. This item was much better for her nose, even though it didn't get as much snot out. The soft silicone tip fit easily inside her nostrils and she didn't cry as much when using it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has really tiny & delicate parts to clean and so you have be very careful not to rip the valves.

I was wanting more from this product. It works ok as a backup but doesn't compare to our old fashioned bulb the hospital sent us home with. Sure it is easier to clean, but I will just buy the bulb ones more often. The suction isn't strong enough to grab boogers quickly and speed is everything when working with a mad baby.

I hate all other bulbs and the mechanic ones can scare a baby. And there ain't no way in hell I am suckling up snot. Nah uh! 3 kids later and I finally found the PERFECT bulb! The regular closed (blue or sometimes white) bulbs get mold in them! It's true, you can watch a woman cut into one on YouTube! That's going in your baby's nose when the air goes in. With this, I can keep it inside the nose and keep pumping it. Which is helpful because some babies don't like the feeling of a bulb going in so they fight and scream and no mommy wants that! So in once helps us a lot since my baby girl hates the bulb in her nose! It fits her tiny nose too! It doesn't look like it's hurting or stretching. Something that I think bothers them. I would actually recommend this to my friends who have preemies! It's the easiest to clean, just watch out for the little clear pieces. Which isn't hard, I just use my index (pointet) finger to cover the holes HALF WAY so the little clear pieces can't fall down the drain. Cleaning in a bowl of water is a good solution too.

Finally had the opportunity to use this. I'm very sad to say this was a waste of money! I was hopeful to get a product that would be easier and more sanitary to use than traditional suction bulbs but this is not it. I get hardly any mucous out of my daughters nose; not enough suction power. Loved the idea of being able to take it apart to clean but as other customers stated the pieces are so tiny I had to use a strainer to make sure nothing went down the drain! Valve isn't very sturdy so it wouldn't hold up long if I continued to do so but I won't! My daughter HATES getting her nose sectioned and this takes forever seeing as there's NOT enough suction and I end up having to use other to finish the job. its MORE OF A TORTURE THAN A BLESSING!!!!

Product concept is great, but this is easily breakable so it doesn't work right anymore

Unfortunately rge sucction is not so great. After reading the reviews I expected much more.

Purchased this for my newborn because of the great reviews. The normal bulb one isn't that great and I used it with my first child. Got this in the mail. Just used it a couple times. Wow!! The suction is amazing and quick! The tip is softer so it's not as uncomfortable going into the nose. I'm glad you can take it apart and wash it. Super easy to disassemble and reassemble.I love this thing and sad I didn't research sooner for my first born.Buying another one for myself just to have 2 and then another for my sister in law who is due in March with her first.This thing is worth it!
