Mom's watch
I bought this watch for my Mom because she is visually impaired. She travels between Wisconsin and Florida where there is a time change. It is hard for her to set the time when she gets back to Florida so I thought this was a perfect fix. Come to find out the watch does not automatically set to the correct time afterall. The watch needs to be set to ET or CT depending on where she is which kind of defeated the purpose. I must say though Heather at the the company that it came from was VERY helpful. She was able to help my Mom change the watch to ET time over the phone. So in the end it was OK but I was kind of disappointed at first. I had told my Mom at 3:00AM your watch will automatically set to Fl. time when you get home. Imagine my disappointment when she called me the next day and said it hadn't changed.

Works for elderly woman with limited vision.
Bought for 87 year old mother with macular degeneration. It is better than the last talking watch that had too many buttons to bump. This one is simple. The am/pm button does accidentally get pushed and often gets that wrong but the hour & minutes are always correct. Wish it were a bit louder but she can hear it fine by putting it closer to her ear. There may be a way to change the volume but it did not come with instructions. Vendor was emailed in hopes of getting paperwork but they did not respond. One other thing, the voice is either English or British so it was a little difficult for her to understand at first but she is fine with it now.

Adequate
I bought this watch for my mother who has vision problems, and it seems adequate, not special. It's heavier than a normal watch, and the instructions indicate that the battery won't last very long. I hope this isn't true, because it will be hard for her to figure out how to reset the atomic time without help when she needs to. The voice is just barely loud enough, but fine.

Atomic feature not worth getting
We bought this watch for my mother-in-law, aged 86, who has both hearing loss and advanced macular degeneration. It took three technology-savvy adults several tries to manage to set the watch to show the correct time. Then the watch showed the correct time, but verbally was one hour off. We now have it so it says the right time, but not am/pm correctly. The watch is also man-sized. It gets the two stars because it still basically accomplishes the purpose, which is allowing my mother-in-law to hear the time. Not looking forward to the time change! My advice is to skip the atomic feature.

Talking watch
My mother is losing her vision and needs a talking watch to help her know the time. Her first watch broke so I ordered this one. Unfortunately, the synthesized voice is difficult to understand and she must listen several times to get the time. She will use it a while longer and try to become more familiar with the voice. If she can't get used to it, I will probably order another one from another company.

Bought for wife as Christmas present.
My wife has very low vision, and can't see a regular watch. All though she has another talking watch, it is hard to set and has to be set every time we change from daylight savings time, and I end up doing it, and it is a pain. Now the new watch is always at the correct time, day and year. I find myself setting my watches with it. It has a very pleasing mans voice and she loves it. So do I. It is a little thicker than a regular watch, but looks good on her wrist.

much bigger than it should be for a women's watch
I purchased this watch for my Mom. I had it shipped to her in California. It is supposed to be a women's watch, It is huge! The size of any men's watch. No I have to try to return it.
