Live Daphnia Bag - 12 Pack

The daphnia arrived the next day after ordering. They were well packed in a plastic tub inside a stuffed box. There were so many in the bag! I didnt have any dead ones at all. I just feel a bit guilty now of feeding them to my fish as they come to the front of their tank when i go near thinking i am going to feed them!

first buy - Very good, quick delivery and packaged well. not going to lie I was expecting 12 bags of water with very little Daphnia in, but there is actually a very generous amount. Very pleased :)second buy - half of them where dead i was rather disapointed to be honest as my first buy was really good but this lot was just awful

at least 95% were dead on arrival, fine if you are feeding fish, but not if you want to populate a pond. They would probably have taken them back and sent more, but I personally could not be bothered with the hassle and cost on product that didn't cost much in the first place.

Daphnia were all lively

small amount of live food, OK to start a culture but expensive as live food

Arrived alive, the fish ate them, what more can you say !

It may appear that there are dead daphnia at the bottom of the bag but these are most likely the shed exoskeletons of the daphnia when they have moulted. i have several daphnia cultures going at the moment. They reproduce quickly so you only need a few to get your culture going. Harvest them frequently and feed your fish.
