12 Jesse Tree Christmas Cards with Envelopes

Love it! Ok, I admit, I helped design this card, but I do want to leave my feedback on what the card actually feels like, when you get it, because not even I knew this before I bought mine. The card-stock is heavy, white, glossy on the outside. The color is a tiny bit more purple than the photo shows on my computer, but it is definitley a dusk, dark, blue with purple hues. The card itself has the image you see, and on the back it has all the verses and symbols needed for Jesse Tree. The back of the card reads: "The Jesse Tree is a representation of the genealogy of Jesus as a tree with Jesse at the base and intermediate descendants on branching scrolls of foliage. It is a tradition to use these symbols to prepare for Christmas. Seek and find the ornaments and read about their meanings." The inside has a beautiful hymn and a verse and space to write. The envelope is white. I love the dual-purpose of this card! You can use it just to send a note or photo, and then the person who gest it can use it to learn a lot about the Bible and Jesus! It can be sent out anytime before & during Advent, up through Christmas-time.

I received this card this year and was very impressed--so impressed that I've ordered the card for ME to send next year.I do have a comment, however:The ORIGINAL Jesse Tree dates back to medieval time. It showed a reclining Jesse with a tree sprouting from his midsection--Mary and Jesus were portrayed at the top of the tree; figures representing persons who lived between Jesse and Jesus were on the trunk and branches. ORIGINAL Jesse Trees were all about about the ANCESTRY OF JESUS.MODERN Jesse Trees are LESS about the ANCESTRY OF JESUS and MORE about the LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS OF GOD throughout the ages. THE JESSE TREE ON THE CARD is a modern Jesse Tree with figures representing stories that go back to Adam and Eve--stories telling how God rewarded obedience and punished disobedience, but never gave up on His chosen people--beautiful stories that tell how He used prophets to turn the people around when they became too evil.I wish the explanation on the back of the card had indicated there was a difference between the ORIGINAL Jesse Tree and the MODERN Jesse Tree that appears on the card. Maybe such could be explained on cards printed in the future.

Beautiful card with great artwork and colors. I love the meaning and explanation of the symbolism. A great Christmas tradition brought to life in this elegant card! Very high quality paper and envelopes.
