I like that these lights are nice and bright. The big problem with them is that while the lights themselves are IP65 waterproof the end where the bluetooth transmitter and USB connector is is not. This end is also connected to the light strip very weakly. It is held on by 4 tiny solder points and 1 cm of heat shrink (see picture). The plug that connects this to the bluetooth part also comes apart very easily (see picture). The connection between the lights and pin plug for the first set I got ripped off with just a slight bit of pressure. The seller did a good job of quickly shipping a replacement though. I think these weak/unprotected connections mean that this part of the light strip will not be waterproof at all, but I haven't tested that. I made a case to hold these parts of the light strip for outdoor use, but I don't know how well it is going to hold up long term. It would be nice if the entire product was IP65 and not just the light portion. The waterproof coating on the rest of the light strip is also not very durable. One small piece of it already ripped when I bent the light strip a bit (see picture). I think the waterproof coating will last well once connected in place, but only time will tell.The app that comes with this set is both good and bad. The good part is that it lets you change color and use a few fun modes for the lights. I have not tried the music modes it has, but both the rainbow and red pulsing modes look good. It would be nice if the color pulsing mode let you pick any color and not just red, but it's fine. The worst part of the app is that it inexplicably requires you to give it access to the location of your phone to work. This makes me wonder if the app itself is spying on me, but maybe there's some legitimate reason for a light strip to know my gps coordinates. The other weird thing about the app/strip is that your phone doesn't actually make a continuous bluetooth connection to the lights. Like, if you connect your phone to bluetooth headphones you will see them as connected in the bluetooth settings panel. These lights will show up in the bluetooth settings panel, but will never be fully connected to. Instead you just leave bluetooth on and open the app. This likely means that the app is just broadcasting unsecured commands out to any nearby bluetooth devices. With it being a light set this is probably not that risky, but it still seems like there could have been a better implementation. Once you've set up the lights in one mode they always come on in that mode when powered up, so I'll probably just pick a mode I like and then uninstall the app.UPDATE: After over a month of use the lights are still working fine, though the sticky backing has mostly stop working and I've had to secure them with duct tape and zip ties. I've used them outside in a few light rains and the waterproof case I rigged up to keep the usb connector, bluetooth transmitter and separate USB battery pack dry has worked (see picture). If you aren't ready to make such a case then I think you must consider these lights not waterproof as those components are definitely not waterproof, they would probably work fine indoors though.Since posting this review the seller has messaged me 15+ times. Most messages were to offer a refund if I would update or delete the review, this seems unprofessional to me. I'd much rather they spend this time updating their product to fix its few flaws. A few messages were in answer to my questions. Here is the answer to my suggestions that they update the app so it does not require access to your GPS location and make the entire product IP65 waterproof instead of just the lights. After reading this "don't worry" response with not real explanation as to why the app is accessing my GPS location I decided to delete the app off my phone to prevent them from selling my GPS position to others on me. reat set! each tape is 50 cm long. each led strip is connected by a cable, 30 cm long. By connecting all of them together, you can stick behind the tv, it will be beautiful and interesting to look. The backlight will be on each side. it is glued easily, on the back of the tape there is an adhesive base. The tape is waterproof. powered by usb, we insert into the tv and the backlight is working. You can change the brightness. you can control the backlight with a remote control, the battery was not included. To the remote there is a small instruction, where the modes are described, there are many of them: from flashing to a smooth transition of color.

Install was pretty straight forward (this was not my first time installing similar products) however the adhesion is not the best. The product ships rolled up pretty tight and the end that was in the center of the coil kept coming off the TV. I did clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before instillation to ensure good contact but it did not help. I remedied the problem by putting some making tape over it for a couple days and it is holding good now.The app is decent and not having to keep track of a remote control is awesome. Overall this is still a 5 star product and a great value for your dollar.EDIT* The Android app "Happy Lighting" now requires LOCATION data to be enabled in order to function. It will force close if denied location access. Why on Earth does an app that controls lights via Bluetooth need location data? Sounds more than just a little sketchy to me.

I got these cause they were not expensive and fit my TV size. After receiving them, I cleaned off the back of the tv really good, peeled the cover of the double-sided tape and stuck them to the tv. It took a second to figure out how to angle them and get them all to connect. Once that was done it looked fantastic and the lights look awesome, however, after less than 24hrs the light strips peeled off the back of the TV on their own. This was disappointing and frustrating cause I had to reassemble them. Again, a day later same thing happened. I used 3M double sided tape that works even on car parts. still the double-sided tape that came with the LEDs even came off the 3M! I also noticed that the double-sided tape on the LEDs where even peeling off the LEDs themselves...come on man. So moral of the story is, it's still not fixed per my pictures taken today. So my plan is to peel off the bad double-sided tape that came with the LEDs and replace with 3M. If you dont mind doing that, then these are good.

I am so glad a friend introduced me to this LED, it was well made with plastic and Attached RGBWW, the seller help me deal with cut and connection installation problem. Waterproof LED got a great material texture. I really liked the design of the LED strip kit I bought, but I found that product package was cheap. LED brightness and color has some item choice to provide change, especially the brightness can be changed into my favourite mode, that is also a main reason why I write this review.all in all, that is a wonderful purchase experience. Hope you guys could be seen that .

I used the lights to add a back light to my gaming TV.Super easy to install, the app was easy to download with the included QR code and works wonderfully.However the strip keeps falling of the back of my TV. The main problem seems to be when you have turn the lights, the strip is flat but when you have to tape it along a rectangle you have to bend the strip so the corner budge out away from the back of the tv surface eventually leading to the rest of the strip being pulled off. I applied some clear packing tape to help reenforce the raised corners.If it holds up I plan on ordering another set because when they are attached its wonderful, it makes the whole room look impressive and really set the screen off from the back ground and makes your image pop. Also great value for the price.
