Great book to help you draw fat characters better
I've been seeing this book get recommended every now and then in artist circles online and finally ended up buying it. No regrets! The explanations are brief, to the point, clear enough, easy to understand and remember. You quickly learn about all the fat placements in the body and how it works + skin folds. The book contains a lot of illustrations.I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to draw body fat and skin folds better!

Tiny book that is full of great information that's hard to find elsewhere
My teenage daughter was looking everywhere for references to paint, sketch, and sculpt plus size female bodies. She was using photos of Lizzo as a model for her sculpture until she found this book. She ended up asking in an art reddit and this little book was suggested to her. She absolutely loves this book and wants the rest of the books in the series. It is compact and light weight so it is easy to carry with her to school and elsewhere. It not only includes examples of plus size adults in many different poses, but it also has examples of seniors and chubby little babies.

Great drawings of the form!
As a Full Tenured Professor of Art, the “Morpho Anatomy for Artists” book, specifically the “Fat and Skin Folds”, is a quick reference book. It is visually impactful with anatomy of the human body. It offered cross-contour like forms to show the volume of the body. While it does not give a lot of wordy explanations, it does visually communicate the fullness of the body. I purchased this book to use in my classroom as a quick reference guide. It is lightweight and easy to access due to the smaller size. Full of drawings to problem solve quickly how to draw volume of anatomy. I highly recommend for upper level high school to college level sophomore.

Good book, but check all details first.
Since i am fairly anxiety-prone, i made sure to check all details and some reviews before purchasing. These are my observations as well as things i saw mentioned. The size is small, maybe 7”x4”, and the spine has been glued oddly (i believe it’s a manufacturer design choice as opposed to a mistake). Those facts don’t really detract from the book, though i will say that the print inside is small, something i wish i could have known before. My copy also arrived slightly dented, but that was a delivery issue and since this is “paperback” i expect it to sustain some damage as i use it so it doesn’t worry me. Overall a neat book, will definitely use and might buy others in the series.

Contents great! Perfect for a small bag, but... 50% of books I ordered, spines were broken off.
I bought an order of "Morpho: Fat and Skin Folds" and "Morpho: Skeleton and Bone Reference Points", "Morpho: Simplified Forms: Anatomy for Artists", "Morpho: Hands and Feet", and "Morpho: Anatomy for Artists".The content of these books are great and the books exteriors are in perfect condition, but...This is rated 3-4 stars for a major thing because of manufacturing. I've ordered 5 Morpho books and 2 out of the 3 that have arrived so far have both had their spines broken off since I opened the box but were in otherwise perfect condition. Both of the spines of "Morpho: Fat and Skin Folds" and "Morpho: Skeleton and Bone Reference Points" specifically were broken off. Everytime you try and turn a page you're afraid it's going to fall apart any second.Major Cons on possibly all the books but definitely the smaller ones: This isn't a shipment problem, this is a manufacturing problem. The glue doesn't hold the book very well. Only one side was barely still attached on both of those books. If you have epoxy you might be able to fix it yourself.Pros: The size of the books give you a little more space for more utencils :)Pro?/Con? (Depends on your preference or usage): For the books, "Morpho: Fat and Skin Folds" and "Morpho: Skeleton and Bone Reference Points", "Morpho: Hands and Feet", and "Morpho: Simplified Forms: Anatomy for Artists"The size is a bit smaller than you expect but I think it's perfect size for a travelling artist or an artist on the go. Something where you might have a bag with not a lot of space but could fit one or two older reading sized books in with a sketchbook and a few drawing utencils. For the book, "Morpho: Anatomy for Artists"It's about the thickness of a small-med book but the size of a medium notebook. So still good for travel but a it's little bit bigger and wouldn't fit in a really small bag, but maybe a medium sized one.

Wonderful reference book
Morpho is a wonderful resource for independent and self-taught artists. It’s curated, thoughtful, and highly useful. The topic of the book is very well addressed from the foundation of the concept on up.

A handy reference guide
This is a handy reference guide that goes over some body types that many other anatomy books tend to gloss over. The book is small but heavy on images and light on text, which makes it good as a reference guide. The book is divided into small chapters talking about different areas of the body, showing how fat and skin look in each area. Since explanations are brief, you probably get more out of it if you already have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of anatomy.Overall I am very happy with this book. Alongside other anatomy books, this helps fill the gap of fat and skin folds that are very often not addressed at all. Would definitely recommend to any artists studying anatomy.

Great little book!
I love this little book. It's quite extensive as far as images go, but they are sketched, not photographed. Invaluable if you want to know how to draw fat and skin folds on the human body. 5 stars!

A must-have!
A friend recommended this book to me to help me draw larger figures. It's an absolute must-have for any artist looking to draw figures. I cannot recommend it enough!

Delusione
