A Smart Dead Bolt Lock that works
Well first of all you need to have "Bluetooth" and second you need to have WI-FI third the Brilong Dead Bolt Kit comes with all the parts you will need that said If you all ready have a dead bolt lock removing the old dead bolt and installing the Brilong Smart Dead bolt lock should only take 15 or 20 minutes to do. I had a dead bolt door lock and it took me about that time to remove the old and install the new one. The Lock instructions are very straight forward a quick look at them is all you should need. Now when you have the lock installed take the inside handle and the the key with the door open and then closed and make sure that the dead bolt does not bind as you operate it. Next download the App and follow it for both the lock pairing and the XenBridge. Just make sure that you enter ONLY ONE DOOR LOCK per install Don't enter more than one per install. The instructions might give you a chance to enter another lock name after you completed the lock instructions don't do it ( That gave me a minor problem because i did ). Some much for thatHow for the good stuff The Lock works like a champ I love it. If you are at home and want to lock the dead bolt, don't know if it is locked, just pick up your phone and you will know the status same goes if you are out and about. I give it 5+ stars and even above and beyond that Brilong Support I rate at 10 stars.I f you have any questions E MAIL Me [email protected] know you will enjoy your lock as much as I doI skipped The middle part so I need to expand on that While the Lock install took about 15 minutes the lock setup took about the same once you have the lock installed install the 4 AA batteries ( slide the black cover up to remove it and install the batteries) download the Brilong App and open it up. There is No panic on doing the he steps as they are very clear when doing them and there are about 6 ?? moist are next or press the reset on the lock. If you follow these steps which is easy I can;t see you getting it wrong. Now for the Xen Bridge that is going to take just a little bit more care in doing again follow the instructions this is where you need to know your WI-FI network and Password once you have added your network and password the last step and continue you get to a screen that ask if you want to add another lock if you are only installing one lock DON'T ADD another lock. I f you are going to install another lock at a different location with a different name then press add another lock ( 2 lock with the same name don't work that was my small problem as I hit add another lock when I was only installing a total of one )So the bottom line is the lock install is straight forward ( like installing any dead bolt Lock )The lock set up is also easy just a couple ( 6 or so ) steps are again very straight forwardThe XenBridge takes a little bit more work ( you need your WI-FI Network name and password ) just take a close look at the instructions and you should not have any problemsThere might be others on the market but this was an easy install and set up and works great I rated it 5 Stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Smart Dead Bolt Lock

Big issue with the WiFi bridge
Everything was easy enough to install and set up, but the one feature I wanted to work, WiFi functionality via the XenBridge, doesn't. The XenBridge connects to your home WiFi and then sends commands to the lock via BlueTooth. While the instructions indicate that the XenBridge needs to be within 2 meters of the lock, it's actually more like it needs to be within 2 feet. I had to run an extension cord from my closest outlet (roughly 5 and a half feet away from my front door) so the bridge was literally hanging from the door knob before it would work reliably and even then, it would lose it's WiFi connection after about 15 minutes, meaning I'd have to power cycle to get it to work again.I think the product has a lot of potential, it's one of the few smart locks that advertises all the functions I want and is still a reasonable price, but it seems like it was released during beta and we're all the testers. The BlueTooth functionality does work as expected and is reliable from my short lived experience, but like I said, without the WiFi (and therefore Alexa) functions, it's no better than using an actual key, since you have to be within 2 meters for it to work (if you're that close already, why not save over a hundred bucks and use a key?).

Good product but still needs improviments
It's a good product, but it has issues. The app takes about 15 to 30 seconds to open to the point where i can unlock my door. I live in a apartment building, so i can't use the feature where it opens when i get close to the door (that's not an issue for me). The app can only have one owner, we wished we had at least two as me and my wife use the door and could have special user control to the app, so we both have to have the same user. It does not connects to Google Home, this is a big issue for us as all our home smarts are connected there. Its a good product but the software needs improvement.

Not what I was Expecting
Usually I don't write reviews. In this case I have to made an exception. This lock, as most of this type of devices, has two main components, the hardware part (the lock itself) and the software app that control the hardware... the lock is ok, works fine as any other motorized device, but, the software is the problem…. the apps look to me is under development. many troubles to properly setup. From the initial setup to make that works (partially) to the auto lock & unlock feature, I can’t make that works. I have to wait between 5-7 second in front of my house door just waiting for the apps load and activate the lock. I wasn’t expecting to take longer using this device that simply pulling out my old key and open the door. If I have to take out the phone just to open the door I was better continue using the key. The Xenbridge can’t be place more than 2 meters from the door because doesn’t work (mine doesn't work independently of the distance) ... actually I am using the lock only with Bluetooth, which by the way lost the connection with your mobile phone after 2 meters’ distance from the lock. the Wi-Fi option I can't connect. I hope the software improve with time but at this very moment I can't recommend it.

Is it worth it?
I asked myself this question when I look for smart key lock. There are hundreds of them on the market. The thing I like about the xenlock is the traditional look mixed with modern design. A lot of the smart lock on the market is the keypad lock. The problem with those is the longer you use them, the less reliable it becomes. It is getting harder to key in the code or sometimes I won’t be able to enter the house. Besides, I don’t like the look of those keypad lock. It looks bulky on the outside and does not match the look of my house. Xenlock looks sleek and clean on the outside. It looks like the traditional lock but has all the features of a smart lock. Easy to use and install. What I like most is the key part. I always have a plan b, so if the smart feature is not working, I can still use my key to open the door instead of standing outside and figuring out what to do.
