My boyfriend’s 5yr old nephew has a habit of putting things in his mouth and chewing through his clothes and jackets, so he did some research and found this chewelry for his nephew. Since we bought him these pieces, his nephew has stopped chewing on his clothes and jackets, and only puts things in his mouth when he doesn’t have his necklace on. I will say that my boyfriend does tell him to take the chewelry out of his mouth too sometimes, as he is trying to break the habit overall. Even though the chewelry is tough, I would not suggest for kids under 2 because one of the necklaces is breaking apart from all the chewing, and this may be a choking hazard.The chewelry is easy to clean and has served its purpose overall.

My son used to chew his t-shirt. This helped although he chewed up original ropes that they come with and I switched them with pacifier holders and it works great! They are really hard to break so it's a big plus because softer chewing toys are destroyed in 3 days lol. Also they look really cool even on older boys.

My son chews on his shirt collars all the time, stretching them out and damaging the materials. I've ordered Chewelry before and had great success. This time, we went with the dog tag looking ones, since we're in the military. He loves them and the colors really are this vibrant. Great product.

The product is exactly what I expected as a Special Education Educator, parent and grandmother to special needs son and severe ADHD grandson. I prefer products like this one that have the durability to survive the constant chewing these products assist with. Time will tell since we just received these products last week, hense my ratings for now.

We ordered the military dog tag necklaces because of my son's obsession with the Army and they have deterred him from chewing on other things most times. He loves the look of them and they have really helped his sensory needs.

This is a great product for the price. They're very thick and seems durable. My son had used one only once. Since he hasn't had one in a while I guess it's out of sight, out of mind. But I'm going to keep reminding him of wearing it because I fear he'll swallow one if the many things he our in his mouth (plastic bottle caps, Lego, etc). Luckily he's not had an accident with any of those things. But I would like him to use these instead.

I bought this product for my son who sometimes gets sensory overload, and will often resort to self soothe by putting things (that he normally shouldn’t) in his mouth. His OT recommended getting a chew necklace to give him something that would be more appropriate to self soothe with. I like how the (dog tag) chew necklace looks like an everyday necklace, making it relatively discreet. It’s also easy to clean and I like the breakaway necklace part. I also like how this brings awareness to other parents and teachers who have stopped me to ask about the necklace.

These necklaces were great at first and super cute but then I noticed that every place that was raised in the design was being broken down as my child chewed on it. First it was only one of the three, but now it is all of them. My child rotates necklaces daily and has about 12 so it wasn't like it was chewed on every day. My child is only a moderate chewer. Too bad! It was a cute design. I would have bought more if they had held up but now I wouldn't recommend them.
