Very quiet - moves a lot of air
Just installed 7 different ceiling fans in a new house. This one was by far the most difficult to setup. 3x screws per blade x8 blades. All screws must be installed after the fan is already mounted. Whew. Good times. This is a one time hassle so don't let it impact a buying decision. Every other part of the installation is pretty standard with other fans (put mounting bracket on box, run wires up through downrod, attach downrod, hang the fan, connect the wires etc..)Once installed, it's solid with nary a wobble. I do notice the plane of the fan is slightly tilted compared to the down rod. This is only noticeable to me the perfectionist installer. Others I've asked don't see it. It comes with a shorter downrod if needed. If you need a really long one, it's a standard part you'll find in the fan section of your hardware store or here on Amazon I'm sure.Operation: It has six speeds. It's utterly silent from 1-3, whisper quiet at 4-5, you'll finally be able to hear some air when it's at 6 but even then it's very quiet. It moves a HUGE amount of air. Those 8 blades just add up.It's indoor/outdoor compatible. Outdoor installation involves some additional rubber boots that I omitted for my indoor install. The bulb is a super compact spiral CFL with two pin rather than screw in connector. Being CFL it's not dimmable so the dimmer on the remote functions simply as an on-off. This behavior can be changed back to a dimming feature with a DIP switch in the remote. You'll need a dimmable bulb. *good luck* finding one. it's going to need to be compact, and two pin.Complaint that applies to most any new fan these days: They all are configured to run from a single power source. Works great if you have a single wall switch as the remote then gives you separate light/fan controls. Sucks if you are actually wired with two wall switches, one for fan, one for light as you now have a useless switch. MOST fans seem to be this way now.

For the money, it looks good but could BLOW a lot faster!
I thought this fan would displace some serious amount of air and it does but nowhere near what i'm used to. I come from PR. Where AC is a luxury not everyone can afford. We need fans to survive! Especially during summer. I thought the MA was adequate, but a little pricy. Surely it has "the look" but I was expecting more!

Excellent purchase and quality. Happy customer.
These fans are perfect for the larger rooms I have and to keep the AC needed only for really hot days. They look beautiful. Seem to be a great quality so far. Very quiet. Have one in the master BR and I sleep under it without any issues of noise or disruption. Only complaint is the jacked up battery they chose to run the remote. I see no reason why a simple 1 or 2 AAA battery could not have been chosen. So I have to use some obscure Alkaline size. I only used the 3" downrod so I do not know how much wobble would come from a longer downrod., but ours is solid and still even at the highest setting. We have 2 (1-Koa, 1-Brsuhed Stainless) more in other rooms I was so impressed and happy with it.We will see when they get dirty how easy/ hard they are to clean. Still need to find a good Teflon type of fan blade solution to clean them with.

For the $ this was not a good fan. Efficiency is the only +
I installed this on the back porch. Researched them and found it would do 7500+ CFM so that is a lot of airflow. I run an AC company so I understand airflow. Installation was simple, other than missing a few parts, I went ahead with it. Put it through the initial self testing, then let is run. Was hopeful, but as I sat in my porch swing I could not feel its breeze very well at all. I was installed appx 12" from the roof for plenty of clearance. where you sit is about 2-3 feet away from the center of the fan. NOT impressed. I have installed shop fans that did 10,000 CFM and could feel them 20ft away. For the $ this was not a good fan. Efficiency is the only +. barely makes a dent in the utilities. Indoor use would more than likely be a better option.

Good Looking Fan for Great Price, just wished the listing would have advised the lighting and electrical was defective
Ceiling Fan works fine and looks great on our patio, but it would have been nice to know in the description that the lighting unit does not work... meaning the electronic brain in the fan itself is not sending an electric signal to the light. I had an electrician install the fan and he explained to me based on his equipment that the Fan's brain was not sending any electricity through the wiring to the fan light. We also noticed that the manual had the prior owner/purchasers notes in it about their call to Amazon about the lighting unit not working, which I should have inspected before actually installing. Either way, I understand we got a great price for the fan and since we have lights on the patio, we don't necessarily need the light accessory to the fan, but still would have been nice to know the lighting until/electrical to the light was flawed because we might have not purchased.

Buy it
Ok so my wife keeps making fun of me for being so pumped up about a ceiling fan. But this thing is awesome. I reviewed and shopped 100's of fans for my outdoor kitchen before buying this. The two main negative reviews i read were the slight helicopter noise and the assembly. So i will hit those on out of here. The helicopter noise is slight, and i was STOKED to know that I bought a FAN that could produce such a force that creates that noise. It means you got a FAN. A real no playing around FAN. And in Louisiana it is hot. This thing produces wind. Now the assembly. So i got a guy building my outdoor kitchen that is missing teeth, says "socialist degree" instead of "associates degree", says "dissepencies" instead of "discrepancies", and so on and so on. You get the point. He had no issues with the assembly or installation. Then once installed, at full speed 6, the fan doesn't move a millimeter. It is so still. Awesome fan. I bought a second. Will likely buy a third.
