Great purchase!
Wife's 2010 Escape would not start with the key for about a year. We finally got tired of it and bought this. Took maybe 30 minutes to install, and it fixed the problem. Should have done it sooner.

Did some research and bought this part. Mechanics want to charge you to look at the charging system then rebuild your steering column for about $1k when this is all it needs. Do it. I just had to take off some covers. took me 10 minutes. 2011 Ford Escape.

Quality OEM part (at first...)
OEM quality and fit for my 2010 ford escape. Excellent.Update: part failing after 10 months.

Starting up Escape is quick and efficient again
Easy and affordable DIY part to change out a loose switch in a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. It took longer removing the steering wheel covers than swapping out this part. There is still some occasional issues when starting but requires significantly less applied key pressure when turning. The previous switch had a noticeably worn groove where the key tip made contact.
