Shark Rapido Electric Iron

Great steam iron. Works great steaming out wrinkles.

I love this iron. Shark has great products.It did take me a few a lil bit to get used to the buttons. Some of that may be due to the fact Im left handed. Although I do use my right hand to iron, I use my left hand to adjust the temperatures. The great thing about this iron, is that you can use it as a steamer also.I highly recommend purchasing this. Its the first iron I have purchased in years. Worth the money & seems built to last.

I actually bought this exact one as a replacement that lasted for years. Best steam iron on the market in my opinion. I use it daily and the wife is a steamstress/dress maker. Im not sure when we bought the first one but probably close to 10 years. For a great iron at this price it is undeniably the best!

Shark Rapido Electronic Iron, GI468 I just received this iron and I am extremely disappointed with it.I wasn't looking for a professional iron - just a regular, serviceable iron. This product is a very poor excuse for an iron. I would have been better off buying a real cheapo at the supermarket!In the description one of the supposedly good features is: "the iron automatically shuts itself off if left unused in any position (sideways, flat, or upright) for more than seven minutes."I wondered about why they would make a point of adding "sideways" as a reason for auto shut-off after 7 minutes of non-use. Actually the time before shut off is much less than 7 minutes - closer to 2 - a time so short that I constantly had to "reboot" the iron. This was not a very happy introduction to my new iron.On to the "sideways" issue: it turns out that the iron ends up sideways a lot due to a too narrow base which makes it so wobbly when standing on end on the ironing board that it keeps falling over again and again. Water seeps out of the fill area when it is sideways - on the ironing board, on clothes, or on me - whatever it is near. This iron should really have a stand to sit on to keep it from being a tweedledum or tweedledee. After it turns itself off I have to jiggle the iron to start it up again and then wait until it heats up enough for the light to stop blinking so I can iron again.I am a frequent Amazon Prime customer as I live in a rural area but this purchase was a supremely bad choice. To add insult to injury I paid almost twice as much for the iron as it costs at the Best Buy in the closest town.So, in brief, this manufactured in China "SHARK" is poorly designed, is inconvenient to use, slows down the ironing process due to a constant need to re-start it and is over-priced compared to the competition.I think Amazon should take this SHARK back, absorb the cost of the return shipping and remove it from the list of items offered for sale.

This is the best iron I've ever used. I'm 73 yrs. old and have been ironing for many yrs. For the money this iron can't be beat. It's lightweight and steams without spitting or dripping which makes ironing a breeze. I fill it with distilled water even though the directions say you may use plain tap water because I have very hard water where I live. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this Shark iron. I'd buy another in a heartbeat if this one stops working.

the present iron is a replacement of a former Euro Pro of 10 years of good service. I was so found of the former this is why I bought a new oneJF Corriveau
