Did the job but not very well made
I needed a 4 inch IC contact remodel can for some lights, which my local Lowe’s did not carry. I ended up ordering these because I needed the bulb adaptor in it, and these were way cheaper than the only other kind I could find (Halo). Well, I guess you get what you pay for. These did the job but it’s not pretty. The socket moves around and isn’t secured very well, which means my bulbs are currently angled two different ways until I figure out how to put a shim in to straighten it. Also there is no way to move the socket up or down, which resulted in my bulbs sticking out around an inch rather than being flush or set back. Also, there are only two clips that hold it to the drywall. Seems secure but I would feel better with 4 like the others I’ve seen. Lastly, it came with no instructions, besides a template card. It’s not like it’s complicated but there are two screws that are screwed in to push the clips down and make them airtight. Poor design results in them just twisting around the top of the housing.

Easy installation
I purchased these recess cans based off stars alone. I ended up reading the reviews after. After reading the reviews I thought I was going to have problems installing them but I did not. I'm an electrician and it's just the same as any other recess can installation. For the people that are saying they've been an electrician for 30 years and struggled with these then you shouldn't be an electrician. A heads up if you cut the hole to big in the sheetrock then you will struggle. The lip on the can is about 1/4" so if the hole is to big the lip wont grab. As for the clips you might have problems if you have 3/4" sheetrock. My sheetrock was 1/2" so I kinda just used my flat head screwdriver to pry them into place. After I tightened the clips I felt like it was a solid installation no movement in the can. Over all installation was quick. I haven't installed the trim so I'll update review after I install them. But so far I like them for the price. I know the light buld sticks out but I feel it lights up the ceiling more instead of just a spot light effect.

Not impressed all around
Totally pissed. I was sick and couldn't hook the lights up right away. Finally did and the information for lights wasn't right. They did not fit the ones i have that the units said would fit. I got the return request in on time, but was told I had to drive to a ups package store to ship it back. There are none close by. Now I'm officially screwed. These are cheaply make. The tin broke off on one piece that hold it in place.

Shorter than typical 4" recessed light
This was wait l easy to install and seems to be of decent build quality, however I did not key in on the fact that these fixtures are about 2 inches shallower than a typical 4" recessed can light. Because the fixture is not deep enough, the bulb sticks down past the ceiling surface instead of up within the baffle as it should. (Using standard size Phillips Hue bulb) I would not order these again but as I did not discover the problem until after they were installed, I will live with it for now.

The cheapest cans on Amazon for a reason
They are of fine quality and priced nicely, but the pros end there. They are too shallow to fit almost any light. Bulbs or the integrated LEDs do not fit well. Any normal bulb sticks way out, giving off a devastating glare. I bought some integrated LEDs because from Home Depot because they're recessed deeper and even after modifications they still aren't completely flush. This is a design fail. Pony up and pay a little extra money for something with sufficient depth and spare your self the headache.

Needs to be a bit deeper or has a slighty slimmer light socket.
These worked out great for my application except that is was just a couples of millimeters not deep enough. I managed to work around it but would've been better if I could fully push my flush LED light all the way in can.

Very Simple
I installed these in my bedroom and they look great! the snap in wire feature is fantastic and has enough so that you can daisy chain the fixtures together!

Worked Perfectly
Exactly what I needed to place a single LED light in the stairwell. These appear to be of at least as decent quality as those in your local home improvement stores.
