Can't fault MO at his best. Except the middle one of course.
Four unbeatable albums, plus the one in the middle....um. The Songs of Distant Earth will always be my own favourite, but ther glamour and nostalgia of the Tubular Hell series (missing only the original release) will never go out of fashion. The 2003 re-recording of the original is interesting in its own ways, being almost a note-for-note copy, with quantisation (that means, all those slightly out of step notes have all been lined up to fit the beat pattern). Grab a copy of this set before the production run clears...it'll be worth a fair coin in the future.Shame really they had to include the middle album, which is the odd one out. Bit of Oldfield nothingness really.

Great purchase.
Good quality recordings, excellent replacements for my rather well played vinyl copies. These recordings are very good but just don't quite match the warmth and depth of the vinyls, this is due more to the nature of CD recordings and not of any failings on these CD's

Good albums, not so keen on the remixed version of the original Tubular Bells though, personally I think it's been ruined
