An Iona Prayer Book

I have enjoyed this prayerbook and like very much the way it is set up to use. It is this book that resulted in my purchasing several other books by Peter Millar.

I use the book daily and I share it often as a host gift when we travel. It helps to center one in a sad violent world and it makes me mindful of my visit 12 years ago to the Island of Iona.My only problem with Amazon has been that my latest order had to be through 4 separate bookstores so my shipping cost has been tripled. And one of the orders was cancelled for "technical reasons".Sincerely,tg

I love this little book.... only wish it encompassed a year rather than a month. Very different from other devotional or the Book f Commom Prayer.

What a treasure this book is. Drawing from many expressions of faith, the prayers and meditations celebrate creation spirituality without falling into "tree-worship." This book is a must for my faith journey, and I recommend it to all who are walking a difficult path.

You can use this book many ways: read cover-to-cover, or read daily...or skip around to whatever you need.I've used it all 3 ways and it's very versatile. The prayers are timeless. And I enjoy reading prayers from a multitude of perspectives. Would make a great gift in a bundle for the person who wants to being a regular prayer practice...Add a candle, a meditation cushion, and you're all set.

the smell of the book is so unpleasent and makes me sneeze that I can't use it. To say it was in very good condition was far from true as there is also a stain on the edge of the pages of the first few chapters , and all the pages are very yellow with age. Very disappointing.

I have spent many happy hours on the Isle of Iona during my holidays on Mull, This is a source of some of the ideas that I have brought home from there and helps me to build on them

Some lovely and unusual thoughts. I have shared one or two bits with other people and they were well received. Loved it.

A superb book of prayers which is well written and worthy of use in quiet times or with Bible Study.

Good little book which helps to have a rhythm with prayer.
