Xitel Inport Plus (INPLUS-X1 H)

Very good but you must figure it out... and therefore... you probably will stumble the first run through thinking this does not work.It does work great but some of the learning curve is based on your own intuitive capabilities.I figured it out but thought it did not work at first and wrote a frustrated email to support team which before they responded I figured it out. I then wrote down the steps needed to recall the steps for the next time I use it. That said, the support team is great and respond quick.

The first Amazon vendor I ordered from either lost it at their facility or the USPS lost it.MAV-DAK Distributors, LLC. did not have another one, so quickly refunded my money with no hassles and owned the issue. Great job there.I have since received it from Brooklyn Deals, but have yet to have a chance to use it, so cannot actually give a fair review, but feel confident that after my research prior to buying that it will be just what I need to convert old record and tapes over to digital.

I received the package in good condition. [April 2012]. I downloaded the software and tried to code a .wav file to .mp3. The software notified me that no codec was available for the function. The help page linked me to a site no longer available. [Geocities] for a third party macro [Fastenc]. Further info. from the support site listed CFB as the software source. The best option they offered for a codec did not function. They also offered a software upgrade for legacy users, for a discounted fee. That would have been great except that the product was new. I was very disappointed. Never even took the hardware out of the box. Won't buy or recommend from these providers. The real shame is that this was a highly recommended product.

I had an older version of Inport Plus on an older computer and I enjoyed using it, but it would not work on this Windows 7 computer. So I took the chance and bought this, and it is quite similar to the older version. I have used it several times and it works virtually identically to the older one. I recommend this highly for anyone wishing to transfer vinyl records to CD.

The product does the job. I have saved old recordings that can not be replaced and the sound is very good. I saved a little money and it was like new when received, thank you seller, through amazon. This is a great product for the price! It includes all of the hardware and software* you'll need to successfully transfer beloved wave file recordings to digital files. The booklet that comes with the kit is well written but you must carefully follow the instructions and invest some time to become proficient with the "Recorder", "Corrector" and "Ripper" software. *I strongly advise you use the recommended "Audacity" digital audio editor software that can be downloaded from the internet and used to perform the final step - format conversion.
