Excellent book. Creative, brilliant, and whimsical. Can Monkeys really teach kindness? You bet they can, and its the littlest monkey who is the wisest of them all! My children teach me lessons all the time. I am always confident when I buy a book written by Sally Huss. Whether for personal use, giving her books as a gift, or donating her books to our church or school; I am confident in her message to teach children about values and the innate goodness of human beings with her clever rhymes and creative illustrations.

At first read this book seems too simple for children above kindergarten age, but I found that it can be used as an introduction even with 8 and 9 year olds successfully. It is simple in language and theme, and kids get it.

This is such a cute book all by itself. When you roll in its moral message of "kindness", it becomes a great children's book.The illustrations are cute and the story is entertaining. This one is a keeper to be read again and again.

I did not like the book. I used it in one of my counseling classes and the students were not engaged in the story.

I thought this book was awful. The negativity went on forever. My 4 year old grandson left the room and hid his head under a pillow. Too much ugliness; we didn't make it as far as the weak resolution.I missed the return deadline and threw it away.

Fun story to read, appropriate for 3 yr and up

My prekinders will love this. We are reading as many books as possible on kindness and using the stories to model it for us!
