Bandido Massacre, The: A True Story Of Bikers, Brotherhood And Be

Excellent telling of a truly bizarre crime!
Writing a good true-crime book is no easy task. Aside from needing to present the facts of the case in an objective and complete manner (a task that too many authors fail at), it's essential that the author capture the reality of who the characters are, not just what they did. Further, the author has to capture the truth of the players, not just a fantasy projection on the author's part. The author of "Bandido Massacre..." has done all that, and more. As a law enforcement administrator in New Mexico, I knew and frequently had contact with area Bandidos. I've no doubt that their view of the Canadians in this book would have mirrored the reaction of the Bandidos in Texas; one of disbelief, anger and disgust. The events and actions of the players in the Canadian fiasco would have been comical, were they not so deadly.I found it to be a thoroughly engrossing read.

One the best reads of the History
We all know the story of Edmonton Canada; the farm, the barn, the old folks, the result , However, this is one of the best narratives I've Read! This book is told in third person from that prospective. Peter not only tells a story that will keep you sitting up but he will give you the facts to support the history with such a flair that You will enjoy the read. Great History Great read

Excellent book that details the Canadian Biker War between Clubs
This makes about the 32nd Outlaw Motorcycle book I've read and it brought into clarity the "players" and who they were. In my other books it spoke of the Canadian Biker Gang wars and it briefly gave the names but did not go into any great detail like this book did. Once I was done with the book I just said "Wow"

Just ok.
Very slow, some of the “facts” contradict other accounts. It dragged on longer than necessary on some scenes and narration.

Excellent Book
Excellent gripping tale of the murders of real 1%ers by a bunch of wannabes. Exposes the fact many of the Outlaw Canadian bikers didn’t even have bikes.

A hard to read and often boring biker story
I just couldn’t get into this book and stopped by the end of part 2. The book is slow and a struggle to get through, if you want exciting biker novels I would highly suggest “the life and times of sonny barger” or “exile on front street”!

Couldn't put it down...
I remember when this massacre broke the news.... It was good to read the inside story of what happened. It's sad to know that some good men who truly just wanted Brotherhood and to belong to something were taken out at the hands of truly crazy minds. I feel bad for the families and loved ones left with the terrible thoughts of their last moments knowing they would die. Well written and descriptive. A hard book to put down.

Great book.
Fantastic........I think after having a read a fair number of books in the biker genre, Mr. Edwards is in a class all himself. Great read from what appears to have been some real characters that should never have even been considered for a membership in such a club; half these guys did not even own a bike. Certainly not all would be included in this assumption though, but it appears the smarter ones got out in time (ex. Mr. Lenti). Weiner seemed like a logical choice to avoid and an utter waste of human skin; feel bad for his daughter. Nice writing.....do another Peter!!!!!!
