I usually like to create a stuffed toy to match my baby quilts as a gift. My family love them and the children have all loved on them! This is the perfect book for that purpose. The patterns are super cute and well written and drafted. The animals look great in quilting fabric and there are plenty of handy tips imparted for the novice seamstress or sewer. Following the patterns closely I've made most of these creatures and I've experienced no hiccups yet!All in all its a well written book filled with great patterns which are a joy to gift.

Came sooner then I thought, and though it was a used book, it was near perfect condition. Love this book....Love to sew for the grand children and they in turn love it when their Nana makes extra special toys for them. Boys and girls alike love these, and a few of my adult friends have asked for a certain one or two. Great instructions, patterns are at the rear of book and easily printed. I copy a page, then enlarge as instructed, but you may find it useful to make "smaller" mini ones to accompany the larger ones. (i.e. mommy and me) projects. Enjoy

I really like the book except for having to enlarge the patterns. I thought the patterns would be regular size but they are not. You have to enlarge them alot so if you get the book be prepared to do lots of enlarging. This can be a problem if you don't have a copier.Now for some good news . The patterns are cute and the creatures are pretty easy to make once you get your patterns set up.Sincerely,Kathy Durr

I was disappointed at first as I could not figure out how to download the templates on the ereader version. If you have the same problem, be sure to look at the link included in the Kindle addition. It is located on the page just before the templates. Now I can't wait to make my first doll!

This book is definitely worth having. Simple instructions, great characters to make but I had problems with the need to enlarge patterns. Officeworks accused me of breaching copyright!!!It was difficult to find a place that could enlarge 200%. If this is not a problem to you then a five star rating would be appropriate. Robyn

This book has so many cute ideas I can't wait to make them all. They are easy and quick, just what I like. I attached a photo of Alexander. He turned out so cute.

AS with other reviews I have found it almost impossible to accurately enlarge the patterns even at the local library, at extra expense. I have tried various methods of enlarging all very costly in terms of paper and printer ink. The exercise was not helped by the lack of information regarding the finished size the characters should be. I don't expect many people will have access to the right printing equipment. It is a shame and disappointing that more consideration was not given to this point .

I find it really hard to trust "how to" books, but this time I decided to take the chance, since I've been following the work of the author. It was soooo worth it! Instructions are very well explained and has lots of useful tips and tricks.
