I always look for material like this because my husband is a preacher and always needs stories to use in his messages. He doesn't speak English but I am easily able to tell the stories to him in Spanish. Thank you! More please!

Barry Powell does a good job with this work.There are 99 stories which focus on certain honourable quality of humans which can be used to inspire people in groups as well as presentations.What is really nice is,- The language is replicable- Flow is good- Meaning is clear- The heading provided is handy for referance (you know how difficult it is when there are 100 stories)- The hundredth story is the book itself

This book is the BEST for short, sweet stories with thoughtful positive messages. As a professional storyteller who tells from kindergarten to senior centers, backyards to behavior health groups...I am so happy I found this book. A few of the stories were very familiar in story land, however the way they are re written is so sweet and simple. I love the lessons on human nature and how each are given themes to expound on. I really love this book. So much so that I brought the kindle for iPad, iPhone and I BROUGHT THE BOOK...nothing like scribbling and underlining and bending back pages on favorites! Thanks Mr. Powell. Well done. 99 is not enough...I want more!

I wasn't overly impressed with the collection or the individual stories themselves. There were a lot of editorial mistakes and several stories that didn't make much sense. It wasn't a total loss, however, as I will likely incorporate a few into my speaking.

The stories inside are definitely amusing and inspiring. If you need examples on certain instances for your speech or you need something witty for small talk, this could be your to go book. I read a few stories who I am familiar with and even then they still inspire me. There are lots of funny stories inside as well that you can definitely turn into jokes. It's a great book!

I make short 30 second inspirational fillers for a radio station. This book provided inspiration for several new fillers. It also provided one great story for my attorney son to use at a national conference where he is scheduled to speak. Read it and you will understand my 5 star review!

Nice human interest stories, but would prefer more contemporary life situations in these stories.
