The Necessary Shakespeare (4th Edition) 4th Edition

This book is huge! So big it was hard to carry to class. However it helped me pass my Shakespeare class and so, I am grateful.

I'm sad with the production of the actual book. I needed this book as a textbook for a college class and when I got it many of the pages are folded over and when I unfold them they don't even it in the book. There are many pages that hang over the edge, and then many pages that are torn. I'm not sure if it were an issue with the machine when it was created, but I certainly would have expected that for close to $100 the book should have been in perfect condition. It's definitely not.

The book is well edited, with interesting and informative introductions to each piece of work. My only real issue with the book was how thin the pages were -- it was hard to highlight and write in without bleeding through.

Soaked in rain !!!! If the book only was used I think it accepted, the book for some text has been highlighted, I can understand, the written notes in there, I think fair. but I can not bare it by fade, the color also fade, the pages some pages Stick together.

I thought I was ordering a brand new book, but it didn't look 100% brand new. Shipping took several weeks longer than expected. However, I'm still satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this book for an English class but I will keep it as part of my library. It is a nice compilation of Shakespeare's work with great introductions and notations by the editor.
