The texture is a heavier linen like feel and the color, cream. The color is a bit darker than shown in the product pictures, but it works well in our room. They look just gorgeous. They are not flimsy at all and look far more expensive than the actual cost. The grommets are set well and allow for easy installation. I am very happy with this purchase and happily recommend.

These really are lovely. For our kitchen, they are just the right color, quality and window fit. I didn't purchase them for heat retention or blackout needs, so I can't really speak to that. Easy to install. Purchased curtain spacers, and everything looks evenly hung. I would definitely recommend.
