A good reference source for those into doing a wide variety of rugged fitness routines.
For more than 7 decades I have been seriously involved in numerous martial arts and warrior fitness programs (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Boxing, Wrestling, Combatives, Krav Maga, weight training, circuit programs, HIIT, WOW, Tabata, and Military/SEAL routines) and even in though I am well into my senior years I still maintain a rugged 6 days a week workout schedule. I have collected books and information on my passion for many years and when I saw this volume (Tactical Cross Training WOD Bible: Hardcore workouts for Spartan warriors, action heroes and Special Forces by P. Selter) on Amazon for a bargain price I purchased it.I have read most of the other books published on combat fitness programs and routines and this 118 page volume follows the same basic format. My only complaint is it does not have any photos actually showing any of the exercises so you will have to search on line to find out how to actually do some of the movements; nevertheless, I do like this book for the wide variety of rugged exercise routines it suggests you try. If you are seriously into hard workouts you can also modify some of these routines depending on what equipment you may have in your home or gym.The material in this book covers the following: Your free gift (get it on line), an introduction, benefits of cross training, the importance of tactical training, terminology, sealability, tactical WODs, conclusion, would you do me a favor, and books by P. Selter. If you are seeking a list of 150 WOD intense workout routines you may want to check out this interesting and informative little book.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical Principles of the most effective Combative Systems).

Another good book by P Selter with 150 workouts to choose ...
Another good book by P Selter with 150 workouts to choose from. I love this style of training, which incorporates sandbags, kettle bells, tire flips, rope climbs, etc. The workouts in this book tend to be a little more grinding and time consuming, so I save them for my days off from work. Thanks again.

Review from a fat guys perspective.
I just got this, I bought it because i have the time (More than i need) and motivation to workout, but Direction was needed. This has given it to me, however. it doesn't give instructions on how to do the actual exercises. for example, I havent got the faintest clue what a "turkish Sidelunge" is. I also cant spell it, my apologies. My plan is to looks them up on the internet. and find videos with them.Other than that I am very happy with it. This book has a focus on functional fitness. That's why I bought it. it also tells you what each workout is for, like power and strength. Im probably going to have to have cut reps. Im in rather poor shape right now. I anticipate this book shall help me get back in shape. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Dann good book
Strait from my hubby's mouth "used books by this guy in the marines saw it here and I just had to get. Got it for free in the corps but loved the quality of the workouts so much figured this guy deserved me actually paying for it. Would recommend it for any boots getting ready for boot camp or as a good beginners guide to crossfit for combat fitness"

It is a good reference for tactical cross training
It is a good reference for tactical cross training. There are many well thought out WODs in the book. However, it's a surprise to me, that none of the other reviewers mentioned that there are far less than 150 WODs are in this book. Yes, numerically it's 150, but a lot of the WODs are there 2, 3, some of them even 4 times. Also be prepared to google some of the exercises. Other than that it is a good book, if you're starting cross training, or just lazy to make up your own WODs.

waste of time.
i wouldn't bother with this book, has nothing worth reading about just a long list of moves to perform and number of sets, very disappointing.

Tactical?
No real "tactical" utility, just random Crossfit WOD collected in a book with verry poor quality in cover and paper...

Indispensable
Livre à recommander à ceux qui veulent pouvoir s'entraîner partout avec peu de moyen. Indispensable au namibien de la condition physique.
