Was told these would be good for the bush and glide pole but it's a little to small and lightweight had to mount facing up

These worked good to attach my 1-1/4" diameter boat hooks to my boat. They are made out of some kind of flexible rubber type plastic. Easy to snap the poles into place. They are equipped with a very narrow slot and 2 very small diameter bolts with matching nuts. I couldn't use the supplied hardware because, as is often the case on a boat, I had no access to hold the nuts on while tightening. I had to use stainless steel self-tapping screws. The problem was that the supplied bolts are so thin that no screw will fit through the hole. I had to counter-bore a recess for the screw head and then drill a larger hole. It worked great for me but I'm kind of up there on the handiness scale.

What can I say but this is just more cheap, Chinese crap. After only three uses one of my clips broke in half, which had to be replaced, eating into my paddle time. I guess that's why they sell them in fours... I will be replacing these with a Scotty paddle clip (taco style clip) which is also easier to use as you don't have to fit your paddle into what is essentially two separate clips. Bummer is that there's holes in my yak where these once were. Guess it's time for some decals..
