"Scottish Life" is a quarterly magazine on the subject of Scotland, for those who have been and those who plan to go. The articles provide insights into points of interest, historical sites, trails to walk, and the unique culture of Scotland. Coverage may include updates on the many tourist magnets in Edinburgh and oft-visited sites like St. Andrew, but perhaps more importantly, the magazine seems to finds the road less traveled and the sights less seen, in the Highlands and Islands, in the Borders and even in unexpected place in the cities. The articles typically include useful tips on when and where to go, and there is always alluring photography. The back of the magazine carries lists of the dates and places of Scottish Highland Games and Celebrations in North America and in Scotland. Highly recommended for those fans of Scotland planning a visit or remembering their last stay.

"Scottish Life" is an excellent and exceptionally well-written magazine.Autumn 2011, the latest issue, contains eighty pages. In this issue, two of the main features are regarding Scottish Art, including Andy Scott's monumental art pieces and the newly restored and expanded National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Both art stories have nice photos, (small and large), and the magazine in general has a fair amount of photos.There are also short and long stories about ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Different stories involve haggis, bagpiping, whisky, the changing politics, dancing, bird migration, and a village.Departments include music, books, news, and "Notes From The Isles". The book department has an interesting book review about the historical and prolonged feud between the MacDonalds and the Campbells.I highly recommend this magazine. It is well worth reading.

I love that the magazine has a bit of everything from all areas of Scotland. I do wish they might have an article on tourists visiting for first time and thoughtful itineraries.

I love this magazine. Its articles include book reviews, human interest stories, news summaries, as well as all the beautiful photographs of places to visit in Scotland.

I've been getting this magazine for years. I travel to Scotland often and it keeps me up to date with all the events around the country. I love it so much that I just sent a subscription to my brother for his birthday.

I am currently doing some genealogy work on my ancestors, many who came from Scotland, magazine contains interesting stories and information.
