I bought 10.6k Alnico 5 version to use in the bridge position of my strat with alnico 5 pickups. As usual, the bridge position was too thin and bright, and I wanted something that wouldn't overpower the other pickups, especially when using it combined with the middle pickup. I have only used it with my practice amp so far, but I'll update this after I play it at a gig this weekend.I find that it has less high end and more more than the original pickup, which is exactly what I wanted.This version does NOT sound just like a full size humbucker to me, but it seems to fit what I wanted, I try to cover a bunch of different tones. It was very quiet when I cranked the distortion all the way, and it's wax potted at well.

Ok this thing is impressive! Wow it’s hot! At 10.6k ohms It has more trebel than a p90 and has crazy loudness. Definitely changed my tele into a new beast. Beware if you have a stock tele single coil, the bolt spacing will be off. It matches strat bolt spacing. Very very impressed for the money.

Well it works and has low noise, the output on mine was 12k. Definitely not the 16k output advertised. The tone or lack there of is like a stick strat, minus the hum of a single coil. Overall it’s made well and would be a decent replacement for a beginner or budget guitar. I was hoping that it would have the advertised output and some tone and edge ... it severely lacks both of those. This is no way a replacement for a high end pickup.

I put this on a Thin line type Tele I got from another vendor that needed some pickup swap and used it for the neck and it fit real tight and needed a little bit of surgery to fit the original pickup opening...It's a little weak on the single mode but strong on the humbucker position.. It's just a matter of vol. pos.I used for the bridge some hot rails I got from another vendor and the combo is great...I used some push pull pots and some Mallory .047's I got from here and now this thing really KICKs....

I used this as a middle pickup on a Stratocaster in place of the stock pickup that was too noisy if selected alone. Mind you, I have a Seymour Duncan Li'l 55 humbucker in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge. It was just the last bit of noise I needed to get rid of. The hum was gone and I was pleased that the versatility in producing new sounds was a surprise. Alone it does an outstanding job, tone up or down. The tonal versatility improved greatly for the 5 switch positions, now that there was no noise to contend with other than the noise I wanted to make. A simple improvement without breaking the bank.

These are the best sounding affordable single coil size hot rails HB I’ve tried. And are actually Alnico V instead of ceramic magnets like most. I could definitely hear the difference. Most ceramic ones are too dark. They have much better clarity, more defined midrange and high end and they handle overdrive and distortion very well. I recommend using 500k pots and .022uf cap in order to get the most out of these.

I recently installed this in a Squire affinity series guitar for a friend , for the money this is a great little up grade to replace low end pickups ,the only reason i gave it 4 stars is because i typically use DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan pickups , like i said it's great for the money

Great sounding pick up exactly as described 10k output, bias for bass, mid and high as described , yes these are Alinco V5 (ceramic) magnets. The tone is amazing.If you want that full rich PAF humbucker sound similar to Gibson or Satrianis "Fred" Pickup but only have space for a single coil then this fits the criteria, I definitely recommend this pickup, it arrived on time and nicely packaged (though it needed a clean), all for £23:00. I could not be happier.foot note, It was not the cost that made me purchase this, it was the specifications, other hot rail pickups (equally priced) advertise the output much higher (some as high as 16k), simply it matched the specifications of the humbucker I wanted in the space of a single coil.

Bella confezione.Spedizione in linea con la Cina. Comunque arrivato prima del dichiarato.Costruttivamente non sembra di fascia bassa. Bello potente per ritmiche rock metal anni 80. Se collegato in parallelo gli alti sono piacevolmente più presente. Molto soddisfatto.Non mi piacciono le viti con cui é arrivato. Le ho sostituite.

un niveau de sortie completement anemique, et ce malgré les "13k" annoncés..de l'argent foutu en l'air :(
