The Believer's Guide to Spiritual Warfare

I started reading this book to help me answer a question posed by a sister in Christ in crisis. I expected a more flamboyant guide identifying different kinds of spirits, potent prayers, etc. What I got was a down to Earth, Biblically balanced guide on living a spiritually balanced life, serving the Lord as the Spirit leads, including dealing with the adversary when necessary.

This is a great handbook. He helps you to understand and to be aware of demonic stongholds or influences so you know what you are dealing with and how to overcome, but he also does not want people to be looking under every bush for a demon. He backs up everything with scripture and tells us how to be overcomers and to keep our eyes and ears focused on the Lord. There are also many great examples of people's experiences which we can either relate to or know someone that has experienced similar things.

The goal of this author is to help equip those of us who are saved and Spirit-filled to do spiritual warfare effectively. There are situations that arise in our lives where we know we are under spiritual attack. Satan does not want us to be successful in living and sharing the Christian life. Even as he attacked God's people numerous times in the Old Testament days, then tried to destroy the baby Jesus, tried to derail Christ Himself after his baptism, used an angry mob to stone Stephen to death, and caused havoc with the apostles, and early followers of Jesus, he will surely attack us. Knowing this, should we become fearful and dysfunctional? No! We must learn how to distinguish what are truly demonic attacks in our lives and ministries, and learn how to deal with them. We can sharpen our discernment as we draw upon the resources the Lord makes available to us by His Holy Spirit and His Holy Word.

This is a Biblically sound treatise that deals well with the spiritual as well as the personal issues for which we are accountable. Easy to read and follow; one of the best I've read and taught from.

One of the best books on spiritual warfare! I highly recommend this book for those who want to have a balanced biblical perspective on spiritual warfare! Very excellent work!

Well documented research.. Might be a bit too deep for the average Christian

This is a thorough and balanced discussion on the topic of spiritual warfare and the faith needed for victory in Christian living.

I am studying Spiritual Warfare and how to deal with it I have been looking for such a book. White is easy to read and understand. My Pastor recommended this book and uses the knowledge as his theology. He also has an effective deliverance ministry.
