Not bad, but Amazon mis-identified the book
I bought this book for my daughter who is auditioning for a performing arts magnet middle school. Unfortunately, Amazon referred to this book as one for middle school students. It is not. The monologues aren't bad, but they are appropriate for kids 15 and up, not for 10-12.

Dissapointed!
Disappointed! Bought this for my 12 year old daughter after reading the great reviews. She has an upcoming audition and none of the monologues are age appropriate...don't even think that they are suitable for anyone under 15 or 16 years of age. Already submitted for a refund!

This book rocks
I'm a freshman at my school and my best friend and I are trying out for our school play. We needed to do a monologue, so my friends mom bought The ultimate audition book for Teens 3. We read all the girls' monologues together. Even her mom read them. We had so much fun reading them to one another, and her mom said that she felt exactly the same way that the characters did- - - We felt like Kristen Dabrowski must also go to our school, so many of the characters were just like us only funnier. I would recommend this books to every teen who loves theatre, but hope that nobody from my school finds out about it until after my audition.

Only a minute?
How much impact can you make in a minute? Based on these one-minute monologues, quite a bit! Ms. Dabrowski knows how to find the humor in the most common everyday things, as well as the agony and drama of a situation. These monologues are great because you really can mix and match them, and it'll still make sense if you were to create a play with them. It's hard to remember long scenes, but with these one minute monologues, each one is short enough to remember, and yet long enough to make an impact on your audience. Highly recommended.

Another Home Run
I have been spreading the word to educators about Ms. Dabrowski's refreshing perspective on material for young actors. While it's great for kids to begin reading plays, they also need to get on their feet and start working. Unfortunately, there's just not a lot of great material out there for kids to cut their teeth on. Enter "111 One-Minute Monologues" to the rescue. These pieces are just right both for class work and to take out on real world auditions. Bravo.
