OMG Pancakes!: 75 Cool Creations Your Kids Will Love to Eat

Somewhat embarrassing admission, given the target audience of this book: I don't have kids.Somewhat saving argument, given the previous admission: I have a wife who loooves Jim's Pancakes (the site this book is based on)."OMG Pancakes!" is in this weird place where it's "sort of" a recipe book, "sort of" a set of IKEA instructions, and "sort of" a coffee table book, but work as all three. All of these "sort ofs" add up to one awesome book that turns breakfast into a combination of building blocks and art.I have yet to have someone take a look at this book and not go, "Oh this is amazing! But how did he... ?" The creations are fun, funny, and the perfect thing to keep around to surprise your kids (or, in my case, your inner-kids).

Found this book at my local library, where it was mis-filed. I had to check it out. Got it home and after flipping through the first few pages ordered my own copy. Also checked out the authors website. Made pancakes for the grandkids on Father's Day. We had a Blast!! Note that I have virtually NO ARTISTIC TALENT, and struggle with stick figures. But just by flipping through the first few pages and looking at the pictures I created some FANTASTIC PANCAKES!!!

We saw the creator of this book on Rachel Ray. My husband is the pancake maker in our family and I purchased the book for him for Christmas. The pancake creations he has made have turned out really well. Very fun! We bought some all natural food coloring and some plastic ketchup squirt bottles to put the mix in and that's all we needed. You can also use regular food coloring or the book tells you how to make your own natural food coloring if you want. The book also has pancake batter recipes but we have just used boxed pancake mix.

Great tips .. easy to follow pictures and directions. Read what tools are needed as squeeze bottles make it easier to make pancakes. Fun for the whole family

I purchased the OMG Pancakes for my granddaughter for Christmas. She just loves it. My daughter said they had pig pancakes Saturday for breakfast. My granddaughter is very creative so I am sure everyone will be surprised with they will get next. Thank you for helping kids to be creative. Nancy Unger

This book is awesome and so much fun! The ideas in it are rather creative and they show you exactly what shapes to make to put together each pancake creation. Love it!

I love this book. We have created so many fun pancakes with inspiration from this book. My toddler asks for whale and star and fish pancakes all the time. I dont think we could ever go back to regular boring pancakes!

this book its amazing, the creations are really good. some a little hard for begginers but others pretty easy. the step by step instructions are easy to follow and I guarantee you will be a success with your kids :) brilliant! "These aren't just pancakes, these are OMG pancakes!!!" :)

Bei den Rezepten handelt es sich um mit Lebensmittelfarbe eingefärbten Pfannkuchenteig aus Weißmehl und Eiern. Es geht hier also eher um die Optik als um den Geschmack. Eine nette Idee, mit der ich mal mit etwas gesunderen und geschmacksintensiveren Zutaten experimentieren werde. So richtig OMG finde ich das Buch jedoch nicht.
