The format factor of the device is fine. The materials feel fine. However, if you power a MacBook Pro with this adapter on the Magsafe port of an Apple Thunderbolt Display the display will blank during high power activities like full screen teleconferences with screen sharing. In other words, it's not reliable enough to use. I returned it.

Ordered this on July 1st, 2019 to be able to have my old work computer plug for home. It's 8/7 and it already stopped working. Best part, it stopped during a work trip when I really needed it. Just goes to show, never go cheap. Buy the Apple hardware from Apple.

The adapter works -- however, it gets EXTREMELY hot!

I have a charger for the old thunderbolt 2 macbook, and this converts that to thunderbolt3/usbC connection to charge my new macbook so I don't have to buy another charger. enough power to charge while in use.

Very happy with this. I had the older Thunderbolt Display monitor and a newer usbc macbook that I replaced my old one with. Finally found this adapter so I can keep using my monitor! Works perfectly.

I've had this item for a year and it stopped working with my Thunderbolt display. It was always a little "off" but it's now completely unusable. Really disappointed.

Does not work. Do not waste your money. Sometimes lets a trickle charge in so the battery drains slower, but does not charge the battery.

I had his plugged in for one day and it broke my Mac. Had to send the Mac in for repair. DO NOT USE THIS!
